Good College

My overall view about the college is positive as the St. xaviers Ahmedabad is a highly reputed college in all over Ahmedabad, and it is a Jesuits college so it is having its own advantage while going to abroad for further studies.

I'm persuing final year BCA from st. Xaviers college Ahmedabad which is a 3 year course containing 6 semesters the exam criteria contains one internal exam as CIA 1 and afterwards two Unit tests after each unit completion and finally there is a End semester exam.

st. Xaviers college is not having such good placements as the companies like TCS and oracle come to the college and the students with having only a single ATKT cannot apply for the job to those companies. This college doesn't provide any internship.

In the whole academic year the college celebrates to festivals one is the youthfest :- this consists of several events and games done within the college the same is the another culfest :- which also contains many cultural events but having inter - college competitors.

The fee structure here is very feasible as in BCA, the fees of each semester is arround 16000 and total fees for three years is 96000, which turns out to be very feasible and all the stationary items are having extra charges which are available in the college office.

There is no such Loan facilities available in the college as all the courses here are self financed, But for the students from Cristian community there may be a scholarship facility available, but i m having less knowledge about the scholarship.

As i referred above that im persuing bca from the college we are having two practical subjects and for those we are provided with computer labs to perform practicals. The lab sessions are alongwith theory classes on a particular day. Sports are mainly organised with the culfest and youthfest. Many sports events are being organised.

The seniors of the college are seriously very helpful, as in the beginning i applied for addmission in the college at that time i am confused what to do next and what not to do. Then the seniors of the college mostly the final year students guided me properly.

once the admissions are opened, i registered on the official website sxca.edu.in with all the required details and then, on the registered mobile number i m provided the login id and password. I logged on to the website's Admission portal with provided id and password and i filled up the admission form with all the required details and also uploaded scanned passport size photograph and scanned signature then I submitted the form. After a certain period the college 1st merit list arrived in which all shortlisted candidates are present, i was one of them. After 3 days 2nd merit list arrived and then all the shortlisted are candidates are called up to the college oj a certain date with some relevant and original documents. After the documents being verified the candidate has to fill up the first semester fee with the Demand draft as a mode of payment. All set to go then the classes started.

Some faculties of the college turn out to be great and very supportive but some faculties are not much good according to their behaviour as some facilities only care of their ego and attitude but overall the facilities are somehow supportive the give support as well as guide as much as possible.
