Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is revised once in every 2/3 years keeping in view the recent trend. The faculties/department will make you industry ready rather than just a B.tech graduate. There are fair options for research also. A lot of govt-funded projects are carried out here by the faculty members.
Placement Experience
The college has done pretty well in terms of placement. The brands like Microsoft, Dell, Amazon, Bosch and many more users to visit the college for recruiting the graduates.
College Events
There are a lot of events which use to happen on a daily basis. All depts use to have their own departmental fests along with the grand one "Kaalrav" which is one of the biggest events of the northeastern part of the country. The college also organises National level sports events like badminton, chess etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. I didn't opt for any loan or scholarship but my friends did. Union Bank of India, SMIT branch is in the campus itself and use to gives education loan. College used to give some scholarship also.
Campus Life
You will be having an amazing campus life. The gender ratio is fairly maintained in the institute. Apart from studies, there are a lot of activities and clubs like NCC, NSS, Debate clubs, workshops on robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning. There are several musical clubs also.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is very strong. The college is 23 years old. You can imagine the reach of the alumni(s) who were the pass outs of the early batches. Every year the institute organizes Global Alumni meet in which the alumni use to come and visit their Alma mater.
Admission
the admission was purely on merit basis. Once I qualified for the test, I was being called for counselling. The process was quite simple. You need to get yourself registered first at the reception desk. Mandatory documents required are rank card, class X/XII mark sheet/certificates etc. As per the rank, your name will be called out and you will get the available dept. of engineering.
Faculty
Faculties are well qualified. In the class, they come with a mentality to discuss a topic rather than just normal teaching. Interactions with the students are always welcomed. All faculties here are approachable and tries to help in academics as well as co-curricular activities.
