About my college

One thing the college can improve is the fee structure especially for B.Tech courses.10-11 Lakhs for a engineering degree seems a bit high considering the placement ratio.So that's one area i would like my college to improve.

The syllabus or curriculam of my course is very different but very helpful.It is designed in such a way that it doesn't pressurize us.Also it is based on the practical applications of real life.So we get to know about the real stuff which will be helpful.The Exams are conducted in semester basis with 2 internals each semester.

Overall the placements and job opportunities are good in my college especially in the B.Tech courses. Nearly about 80 companies come to college for campus drive every year and the number keeps increasing.

Our college is well known for its events every year.The GEM fest in famous in Vizag which is held in GITAM.Also Gusac Carnival is a fun time where Sometines we have guest celebrities.There are like 5-6 fests which are held every year in GITAM.

The fee structure varies from course and course.Like the B.Tech courses have a high annual few of 2.5L per year compared to my course i.e. 35k per year.So it varies from courses to courses.Likewise the MBA and BBA have different fees.

My department started a very gpod scholarship previous year.In this if a student scores 9 cgpa or above and he has an attendance of more than 80%,he gets a scholarship of 10K per year.So i think that is a good innovative.

The extra curricular activities are second but none in Gitam. They particularly focus on sports like cricket, football, volleyball and other indoor sports like Badminton,Chess,etc.Every year our college team participates in inter college and intra college tournaments in various sports.

The alumni of GITAM are settled in various places of the globe. Like some are settled in US, some in UK and other countries.There is a good relationship between the seniors and juniors.There is no such thing called ragging in our college.

I wrote the exam conducted by my college and i secured a good rank to get a seat in B.SC(STATISTICS) in my college.The admission process was fairly easy and the office faculty were also helpful.The exam i appeared was also pretty much on the easier side and it was based on our 12th curriculam.We had to fill an application form for admission with passport sized photos and submit the annual fees and that's it.

The faculty of my department are extremely educated and well known about the topic. They are always keen on helping the students anytime we want.They teach in a way that every student in the class understand the topic.
