Remarks
Pons- Quality Of education. Qualified Staff. Good amount of placements. Credibility of the College across the state. Cons- Less Enjoyment Vast syllabus Lack of cultural events (relatively when compared with other Colleges)
Course Curriculum Overview
To be honest, the course curriculum here in this College is a bit complicated compared to other colleges in the state. The course curriculum is mainly focused on the GATE exam which is an entrance exam for 2 year Mtech course and jobs in some public sector companies. You need to really work hard to get succeeded in the exams and to maintain good percentages
Placement Experience
Weather you study in ECE or EEE or CSE or IT or some other related branches, you'll have to finally endup getting placed in some sort of software industry like TCS or Infosys etc and so and so companies. You'll get less placements from the core companies. TCS is the major recruiter providing a maximum package of 7LPA. All other companies recruit in very less numbers. And also seems like there are less placements for mechanical and civil engineering streams. Coming to internships, it's mandatory that you gotta have an internship to get your batchelors degree. College itself doesn't provide any internship. You'll have to find it on your own.
College Events
Events, the worst part of this college. You'll hardly find some other events other than freshers, annual day and tech fest. These are the three major events being celebrated in the college. Other than these, there are only some minor events that you actually don't even know that the events are actually going on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is usually 1,08,000 for BTech students. It's the highest fee structure in the entire state. However the government gives a full reimbursement of 108000. So that you'll not have to pay even 1rupee. Which means that you're literally getting free education. But, you'll have to pay for exam fee and your personal needs.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides study scholarships for the meritorious students every year. ?20,000/- will be provided as an appreciation for the poor and meritorious students. For this the main constraint is that you'll have to maintain a minimum attendance of 85-90%.
Campus Life
Extra curricular activities you'll experience in the College is very few. Per annum, you'll get to experience Annual Day, Technical Fest and Freshers day party. You'll hardly get to see any other cultural activities other than these. There'll be some minor events less frequently that you'll even don't know that they are even happening.
Hostel Facilities
Yeah, I stay in hostel. Hostel facility here is worth talking about. You'll actually have some good life staying in hostel and some bad life as well. Hostel is basically maintained by a society named Nagarjuna Educational Society. Fee structure is basically 39,000/- per year with a caution deposit of 4,000/- which will be refunded when you are passing out from the hostel. Talking about the facilities provided in the hostel, there are some takeouts and some cons too. You'll be provided with great facilities like great infrastructure, hot water computer labs, beds, study tables, lockers etc. But the only drawback is that you'll get bored of the mess food within one month. The menu is same here throughout the entire course of the year. You'll be fed with Dal, Sambar, Pickle, Fry, Curd and Rice at afternoon and nights as well. This is what you have to eat if you stay in hostel for entire 4 years. Except this, everybody here feels comfortable.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni is quiet helpful here in this College. They'll be interacting with the students some times. You'll be having higher chances of getting interacting with them and get to know the actual situation in the industry and prepare well accordingly to get placed in a company as soon as you leave your college.
Admission
Well, there are two ways to get into BTech course (Which is of 4 years duration) in any College in the state. Here goes the both: I am actually a Diploma degree holder in the stream of Electronics And Communication Engineering. Diploma degree is a 3 years course after which you can enter into BTech Colleges by an entrance exam called "Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET)". Based on your performance in the entrance exam, you'll be allotted the College(better the rank, the better College you get). To get your seat alloted in RVR JC, you need some good ranks. The students came to BTech are generally termed as Lateral entries who directly enter into 2nd year of BTech right after the 3yr diploma course. This is one way of getting admitted. The other way is actually, you study 2 Year intermediate course and then write a so called Entrance Test "Engineering And Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET)". Generally this test is for 2 streams of candidates Viz., Engineering steam and medical/agricultural stream. You'll be allotted the best College based on your performance in the EAMCET. The guys coming from EAMCET have to study 4 years in this course unlike the diploma graduates who study only 3 years BTech after their 3 years diploma course.
Faculty
To be honest, some faculty here are well and truly experienced and qualified. That's only one part of the faculty. But there are some other faculty too who got posted in this College due to some other constraints that I am not supposed to speak of here. Anyways, you can make use of the faculty and gain some good knowledge.
