Student's review - [IET], Lucknow

Seniors are very helpful. Placement is average. Students do very well in competitive exams. Faculty is average. Facilities are average. Very good ranks in GATE, CAT and even UPSC. I will rate it 3 out of 5.

Course Curriculum is in accordance with syllabus of Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Their are 8 semesters in total with 6 subject and 4 practical in each semester. In each semester 2 Class tests and one Sem end exam are conducted. As it an autonomous college so all examination process is carried by the college.

Placement and job opportunities are average. Average 7 lakh package is awarded to student. Number of placement is high in CSE and IT department. Some good companies also vist college. Companies that visit college also provide internship opportunities along with the job. Some alumni are in good organizations such as Microsoft, they also provide internship opportunities.

Many events are celebrated in college. 1. Branch fest- Almost all branch of engineering celebrate its branch fest along with MBA, MCA and M.Tech branches. 2. Convergence- It is alumni meet in which silver jubilee of alumni is celebrated. 3. Shauryotsav- It is sports fest. 4. Encore- It is cultural fest. 5. Parakram- It is technical fest.

Fee structure is feasible. It is not that expensive. It is around a lakh for a year. For whole course it takes 4 lakh. Hostel fees is 15 thousands for a year and Mess fees is 17 thousands per semester.

Scholarship is provided under the scheme of Uttar Pradesh government scholarship in which full fee is refunded to students from weak economical ground whose parent earns less than 2 lakh a year. Loan facility is not offered by college.

Extracurricular activities are fair enough. Their are sufficient labs, equipments are no up to date though. High-tech sports Complex is under construction. Various student clubs operate for different activities which are doing really well.

Hostels are good and facilities are average. There are 8 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel. Each hostel has its separate mess. In first year rooms are allotted on first come first serve basis but thereafter rooms are allotted on the basis of marks. Rooms are 4 seater in first and second year, 2 seater in 3rd year and single rooms are given in final year.

Alumni network is strong. Alumni and current students are well connected, digitally. Alumni help us by all sort. Senior students are very good. No ragging is there. They teach junior students through coding club, robotics club, social club, music club, dancing club, etc.

Ours is a government engineering college affiliated with Uttar Pradesh Technical University, which holds its entrance exam every year. Those who score top positions got admitted in this college. After declaration of result, online counseling takes place and students are required to fill and lock their choices. Seats are allotted in 5 rounds of counselling. College also entertain spot round counseling after 5 normal rounds.

Faculty of college is not that good, but fair enough to teach you the subject. Moreover, engineering is not about learning subjects and mugging it up. Faculties are cooperative. Number of permanent faculty is also not satisfactory and many contractual faculty fits the position.
