Remarks
Good environment. But does not provide placement for all courses. The syllabus followed is too old. Some department have very good staffs like physics and English (aided). Some other departments are very strict when it comes to attendance.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course curriculum is in such a eay that it will teach us about our main subject and in parallel, we'll learn about life skills too. We have yoga classes for second semester and environment educational classes in the third semester. Seperate classes are there to improve our English speaking skills. Exam structure consists of 6 semesters. Each semester consists of 2 internals(continuous assessment - ca) and one one semester exam (continuous evaluation - ce). Two Ca exams in total carries 25 marks and Ce exam carries 75 marks
Placement Experience
Many top companies like Google, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro technologies, Goldman Sachs visits our company every year. Companies like Goldman Sachs provided internships for students. Companies visits college for students from bcom, hotel management and it departments.
College Events
Psg College of arts and sciences celebrates many events. Pongal event in our college is very famous. Interdepartmental competition known as wizards and heartbeats takes place every odd semester. In even semester, inter college competition called euphoria and cascall takes place. Inauguration function takes place every year in the last week of August. Other events like curry masala, blizzard, gateway also takes place
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible if we get in aoded department. For unaided courses, the fees is high depending in the course we opt for. Unaided chemistry, physics have donation ?75000. Other than this, we have to pay fees for exam and manavar mandram every semester
Fees and Financial Aid
National scholarships offered by the government for meritorious students. Students whoso parents passed seay due to accident will not have to pay any fee afteer that. All the fees will be taken by the college.
Campus Life
We have msny extracurricular activities as most of the departments conducts them. Viscom department have the best studio. Food processing department have best lab with many machines which are not there in other colleges. Our college gives importance to sports too. Sports include football, handball, kho-kho, hockey, cricket, volleyball, basketball, swimming, chess, badminton, table tennis, carroms etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are 10 hostels in total. 3 boys hostel and 7 girls hostel. All of them have different infrastructure. Swathi (boys), Kambar(girls) and SQ (girls) hostel were constructed recently. Depending in the hostel fees, infrastructure and facilities differ. Every hostel have one TV, many water filters. Hot water is also available.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network organizes curry masala event every alternate year. Senior students never rag us and are like our elder brothers and sisters. Ragging is prohibited inside the college. Alumni also organises the Coimbatore marathon every year.
Admission
Admission is based on merit list for aided courses. For unaided courses, we have to pay donation. Donation is from ?45000-?100000 depending on the course we opted. For aided courses, admission registration starts by the end of April and it will be too rush at the college. Online registration is also available in the college website.
Faculty
Our college have the top faculties of Coimbatore. Most of them have pursued their doctorates. Some of them are too sincere and will guide us for research, projects etc. Some of them are friendly while some are too strict
