One of the best college of ASANSOL

As I am a botany graduate. it's bachelor's degree of honours in science. it's a 3 years course, it consists of 8 papers, there is total 3 part exams with additional pass subjects like zoology chemistry etc.

Though I am a botany graduate there's chances of placements from college campusing is very low. Still some of the big companies like Wipro TCS had visited our college at that time, some of my friends got jobs in pharmaceutical companies.

In my college we celebrate saraswati puja, it's one of the biggest programs of our college, fresher's welcome programs, teachers day celebration happen every year, one of the main event is our college's yearly cultural events in which we also showcase different projects in our stalls.

Though it's a government aided college, the fees structure is very comfortable for middle class students like me, there's an admission fees for honours starting from 3200 also yearly fees almost 2000-3000.

College every year arranged a scholarship exams for needy talented students, they can avail up to 90% of course fees by getting scholarship, which helped many students like me. I got scholarship of 50% deduction in fees.

Though I am a botany student we have a great line of instruments, we get separate microscopes in our labs as well as many new instruments like electron microscope, fridge, oven are also available, in college every year organized an inter departmental football program.

Yes there's two big hostels present within the college campus the boys hostel is very big because many students come from Jharkhand, Bihar also for studying, the girls college is secured by cctvs and guards 24×7, there's also a big play ground near boys hostel

Due to their behaviour and supports they became brothers and sisters of us whenever we stuck in any practical or reading they are the 1st to respond to it., they have given us botany projects book etc.

I have got the admission on the basis of my higher secondary marks. I have filled up the entrance form after my h.s.in that I have to choose my desired subjects, after some days on the basis my marks they have out 2 list of candidates. I have found my name on that list for botany honours

Though I am coming from a middle class family, they helped me a lot In my education, they gave me more than 6 books which helped me a lot, they took classes on regular basis and there's a test on every month, even in practical they helped every student.
