The entire idea of the college as perceived can be different to different students. A student who is more interested in academics and getting placed to a good known company might be satisfied with everything this college has to offer. For someone looking for exposure and social life might not be that satisfied. The student who are interested in research are also not satisfied in this environment and opportunities.

This is an institute and it is completely autonomous. The entire course curriculum and ex structure is decided by the college itself. A B.TECH course is 4 years long course with 8 semester. Each semester has one mid-semester and a final exam. The course curriculum is a balanced one. The syllabus keeps changing to meet the demand of the current industry and technology.

The best part of this college is the placement and job opportunities provided by it. This year, 2k15 batch received 833 offers with 705 Full time offer and 128 internship offers. The average placement percentage is 92% with highest placement offer made by Microsoft - 42 Lpa. The average CTC offered is 7.62 Lpa.

There are a number of events that are celebrated in this college. The big three events that every student look forward to are - 1. URJA- sports fest of nit Jamshedpur. 2. CULFEST- cultural fest of nit Jamshedpur. 3. OJASS- technical fest of nit Jamshedpur. The three fest are a thing no one dared to miss. In the cultural fest, Many bollywood stars are invited. OJASS has a boast of being the second largest technology fest of east india.

The entire cost of a B.TECH course along with hostel and mess amounts to 8 Lakh (four year). There are different schemes and scholarship to people of weak economic background. Thus it is feasible enough for the students who don't belong to a privileged family.

There is a scholarship scheme given by college to weak economic background students. If the annual income of the family is under 1 lakh. The student gets 100% tution fee scholarship. If the annual income of the family is below 5 lakh. The student gets 2/3rd tuition fee refund. There is also a very less fee for st/sc category students.

They are good. We can't term them as great. But the best part is , the college is changing for good in this area. The extracurricular activities are mainly different college fest and branch fest. Every month we would be known of some major events happening in the campus. The are different clubs for different people. The clubs range from photography club to plane making club. It all depends on the student to make his stay in college a time to remember.

It is a residential college and you have to opt for hostel. The best part of this college is its mesmerizing mega hostels and mega mess. The infrastructure is modern and great. On a scale of 5. Hostel infra and facilities can be rated around 4.6

Here we have a healthy senior-junior relationship. The seniors are the one that acts as a parent/guide who are always ready to help. It is seniors who provide study materials, placement preperation tips. The seniors also tecah topics that comes up during placement and is not a part of syllabus. As a whole.the senior-junior relationship are great and extremely beneficial. There is also a club I&R. These club links the alumni network to the current students. Students can contact alumni for any help via this club.

This college comes under the indian government educational scheme and is an institute of national importance. Every year, there are two entrance exams. Qualifying any of these exam increases one's chance to get admission into any of the national institute of technology. The major factor here is the person's rank.

The faculty of this college can't be branded as good or bad. There are bands of faculty. Some are exceptionally good ,all willing ever ready to help. Others are rather on a balanced meter. Neither good nor can be labelled bad.
