Remarks
This is a very underrated and underestimated college but one gets to know it when one studies here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course i choose was chemical engineering. Later, due to a good 1st-year cgpa, i slided to civil engineering. The course from 2nd year was very structured and comprehensive. Almost all subjects of civil engineering were covered with all the relevant topics. Obsolete concepts and methods were discussed for their drawbacks n why there are now not used anymore.
Placement Experience
Placement drive and internship opportunities were provided by the college through a representative from our respective departments.
College Events
There were so many events in the college and organized at such a good frequency that one never feels bored. The cultural, technical and sports fests are the highlights of the college and are organized on the largest scale in the state. Important days such as engineers day, Hindi diwas, vigilance week etc. are also organized other than the regular historic, religious and cultural days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is in accordance with directives from Ministry of Human resources development. The fee waiver is available for backward classes like STs and SCs and several scholarships are also available for talented students. The fees is nominal for a college of the national level.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not opt for any scholarships, grants, fee waiver or loans so i can not describe anything about it.
Campus Life
The college provides an atmosphere which makes us familiar with the diversity of our country. We have students from all over the country. The gender ratio is also good. Students from all religions, races, castes, colors live, work, study and enjoy together like a family.
Alumni/Alumna
The college itself builds a network to get and remain in touch with alumni of our college through WhatsApp and Facebook groups and pages.
Admission
The admission process of JOSAA-JEE MAINS was very tiresome and time taking. It took almost 2 days working hours to get through all the paperwork and verification. Then the internal sliding option also took an additional 3 hours. But that is not the fault of the college, it was done by JOSAA-JEE MAINS.
Faculty
Facilities in our department were very knowledgeable and experienced. We had one of the best pool of faculties in our college and also in the entire Chhattisgarh. The were very supportive and helping. Guided us very well throughout the duration of the course and very always available for us.
