Vignan

Vignan is a good college it follows all the rules and regulations and creates discipline among students. Sometimes it may be a hectic day due to exams like unit tests otherwise everything is fine. Food and water are good and most of the faculty are friendly and I interactive with the students. Sports should be conducted more often not only cricket but other sports also.

In my first year, everything was new and all subjects were general subjects like mathematics, physics, chem etc. From the second year onwards we have labs very much related to our course and they are conducted on a regular basis. Exams are very frequent in vignan like we have unit tests or weekly tests. CSE department faculty are much oriented towards labs and sometimes it left us with a hectic day.

Placement cell works very efficiently and almost all the 4th year students of my batch are placed. I am myself placed in Infosys. Internship offers are also given by some companies to us.

Tarang is the annual fest of Vignan. It is a 2-day fest and we invite celebrities and enjoy the fest and there are traditional days hosted in vignan on the occasions of Dussehra and Sankranthi. Technical fests are mostly project expos conducted every semester. Tarang is huge and there are a lot of programs for the students in Tarang. We enjoy it a lot.

The fee structure is feasible for scholarship students and for non-scholarship students it goes up to RS.1,15,000 on average. The bus facility is very much good and it costs a maximum of 28,000rs per year. The library fee costs 7,000 rs for all the 4yrs of study and if you cannot pay library fee then it is fine because you can lend up to 3 books by taking the membership on the library for free.

I have a scholarship given by the Telangana government. It is of Rs.35000 and we have to apply for it after our certificate verification at counselling centres and it is directly given to the college on behalf of the student. Every year renewal is required.

The gender ratio is almost the same in my department and other departments also. Students are given a chance to participate in workshops and hackathons and some of the workshops are hosted in the campus also. There are not many sports held except cricket and sometimes sports hours are less.

Seniors are very much friendly and helpful to us. They guided us through the process of placements and another process. They always share their experiences of their work with us.

I got admission in VITS according to my rank in TS-EAMCET. I am very much passionate about computers and technology so I chose CSE and Vignan has a very much appealing faculty and courses offered. It has a very good environment and infrastructure and It is the best college among my options so I chose this college.

According to my experience, most of the faculty are experienced and qualified. Many of them are student-friendly and will help students in every situation. They encourage students to go to workshops and hackathons. They are very much interactive. Most of the Faculty are interested to teach and are efficient.
