About my college

I didn't have any negative remarks until last year. So there was a mistake on my form fill up. I put the right details and selected my subjects. I have selected English as my MIL and submitted my form. But when I get the admit card I got to know that my MIL subject was selected as Assamese which I never selected. Then in the examination I gave the ex for English and didn't gave for Assamese as my subjects wasn't Assamese. I told the teacher who signed my examination copy he told that it will be fixed but on the results day I got to know that it was marked as absent in the MIL exam because I didn't sit for the Assamese examination which I did because I was English student. Then I asked them they said to get my sessional exam marks from the HOD of English department. I went to the HOD and she said that the copy in which they put the records is with the commerce head so I went to him. He said he didn't have the copy and told me to get to the HOD I went back to HOD she said she didn't have the copy. Both of them didn't have the copy for which I didn't able to fix the problem. It's not cool.

It's good not the great. The exam structure for the degree course is like following. We have 6 semesters and each semesters have three exams. One is sessional which is held before the final exam and if you fail on that exam you have one more chance to pass, the college gives one more sessional exam for the one who failed in the last one and then the final exam. So there are 18 exams in total. Each semesters have one sessional with one extra for those who fail and the final.

There are some handful of events that happens during the year related to job. But not much. Some companies came to look for fresher and do some occupancy. There are not much in that category. You have to find your own job.

All the gov events are celebrated on our college. For example Rabha day, children's day, teachers day and all the events. The college is active in every events and celebrate all the events. But the problem is most of the students doesn't show up in the events it's not a fault of the college it's the students who doesn't care about any events.

It's feasible. Most importantly you can have your admission for free if you are in the below poverty line. You have to take admission on the 1st semester which is around rs 3000-4000 most of the time then you have to pay for registration before the final exam. And this goes same for the 3rd and for the 5th semester.

All the government recognized scholarships are available but the loan facility is not available. You have scholarships for 12th then also for the degree level. These are the scholarships that gov provides. The college also have there own scholarships schemes. For example if you get into the top 10 list of 12th exam and take admission for degree there the college gives you all the required books for free.

The college organizes some events related to sports and extracurricular activities and some indoor games also. Like carrom competition, arm wrestling, tennis, cricket, football, basketball and many more.

Some of the senior students are very helpful while some are just awful. There are some really good one who are always there if you need some help. But some are bad, they behave like they own the college and try to control the Juniors and make fun of them.

I bought the form then I filled up the form and collected the required documents and gave it to the college. Then the college has selected the one who can get the admission and gave an admission date. I went on that day and took admission that's it.

It's good you have everything you will need as an student. Good classrooms, good library, playground, auditorium, gym and all the things you will possibly need. The hostel option is available for the girls only.
