My college

Positive is that they provide bus facilities whoch is good coz getting a bus and coming is really hectic. But negative is they take transportation fees from all even of they are not using the college buses. I knowbthus because i used to live within 2 km so i never took the bus for my three years in college but was paying for it. I think some bus pass kind of thing should be adopted by college which many are using.

Course curriculum is good. It covers almost topics that a student needs at that time but lacks in general trending topics of the year. Although i know it cannot be introduced evry year but professors should try to encourage students to learn more baout current technologies because at last in viva exam thay ask the current technologies only. The exam structure is quite managed as written exams are conducted first and then practicals.

We get a lot of campus placements offers in our college. They start from the beginning of last year and goes on. Some companies have certain criteria for written exams. And then they give chances for interviews. College provide interships but only for BBA like courses who can work in management environments. As being a BSc IT student i did not get any. But my friends were there for summer internships of 2 months.

I would not lie by saying that it is feasible but i think it is a little high for some of the bsic courses for the subjects they teach. Like my course BSc IT was of just less than half in other colleges but as my college provides campus placements i chose this only. But it would be better if they could reduce a little.

In recent years our college has introduced some scholarships based on 1. Uttarakhand native- people whose domicile is of Uttarakhand can avail 25% less in tuition fees. 2. Marks- that is based on marks scored by students in previous classes. 3. Siblings- if they have any sibling in the same college earlier then also they reduce skme 5-10% fees. 4. Being girl- for girls the fees is again reduced to some percentage.

The extracurricular activities are a lots in our college. Face painting, science exhibition, rangoli, stage dramas, and so on. Labs are given twice in a week for my course for two or three hours each day. For sports indoor table tennis and carrom board are build. And outdoor basketball ground, volleyball court, football, cricket etc everything is there. And students are using it to the fullest too.

If you are friendly enough then seniors are always helpful. I would not say all are good as it depends upon their personalities but if you need some help At least 10 out 15 would surely help. Be it notes or exam papers even the library has all and so is with seniors.

I asked for the course in the college through receptionist amd got admission by myself. They checked if I had my 12 th marks more than 55 percentage and if I had maths as my main subject in 11 and 12 classes. They gave me form and the admission process was fast for my course. I was happy to see that.

Most of the faculty are well experienced as teachers amd professors of well reputed colleges. But some are the students passed out from the same college. Although there are very rare cases where i found the teachers incapable to handle class. Most of then are strict but teaches nicely when it comes to students future.
