Well as discussed more better lab faculties are required. Also better classrooms are needed. Also faculty with higher qualification after to be hired. Also the free structure should be reconstructed. Also as we are moving to the graduation side. Each year the management of college in different is getting worse. That is to be worked out too.

For bachelor of engineering course in mechanical engineering, Gujarat Technological University (GTU) provides the subject and the subject contents/topics to be studied during each semester. We have 8 semesters in engineering. In each semester on an average we study 5-6 subjects. Now there are internal mid semester exams twice in a semester and avg of their marks are given as internal assessment marks. Till 4th semester no external viva is there. After that external viva is too there. Gujarat Technological University conducts theory end semester exams. In it 70 marks paper is to be attended. In short 70 marks (GTU) theory exam + 30 marks (Internal theory exams) + 30 marks (External viva - professors from different colleges conduct oral exams) + 20 marks (internal viva exams) = 150 Marks for each subject is there. In this way as per the credits of subject the final result is given. Now for course curricullum, as per my opinion more practical based education is necessary. Because in today's world with theoretical knowledge it is important to have your skills polished with technical knowledge via Practical training.

As per the record of seniors and current scenario my college not good at placements. In IT and CE field they have done good placements this year. Currently no internship is given by college side. We have to find on our own way. They do talk about that they will provide but still result is not seen for mechanical department. Currently still they are trying to bring some and we are keen to see what happens further. Because the proper placements of Mechanical department will start from early December.

LJ innovation village is organised every year in the month of February. There student of college display some innovative projects done them. Also cultural festivals like Navratri and kite flying are done. Blood donation camps are organised on regular basis

73000 per annum is the fee of college + 800 * 2 Exam fees every year + 250*2 affiliation fees evey year is there. The fee structure is expensive. At the admission time it was told that we will get faculties of Central ac, proper functioning lab instruments, etc but nothing is given as per the word

Well Government of Gujarat provides 2 types of schemes. In every college 2-3 reserved seats in reach branch of engineering are there. That are called TFWS (tution fee waiver scheme). In it ? 500 tuition fee is to be only paid by student + exam fees + affiliation fees. Other is MYSY scheme. In which 50% tuition fee is returned (upto ? 50000/year). For both of them your Income tax return and earning certificate from near municipality centre is required. Family income should be lower than 8 lakhs per year to avail the scheme

In labs no latest machines are installed. Also currently available , half of them aren't functioning. Sports activites is available for interested. Will not tell very good but sports pay is decent. Lab are horrible

Well we are not in to much contact with seniors as our college is much good in administrative works then other colleges. If contacted they are helpfull to the best they can help. Because everyone had his own limitations and work to be done. Also our passed graduates are good established in foreign and domestically too

I had selected science stream after 10th standard. After completing my 12th science, I had to go through the admission procedure for this college. Now at my time the ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses) handled all the procedure. As my college is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU). Now the merit list was made by ACPC by combination of 60 % weightage of 12th science Board Marks (GSHSEB) + 40 % weightage of JEE main marks. In that I had secured merit rank of around 9400. After that the online selection of list of colleges was to be done. There as per chosen colleges and their order I got admission in LJ INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY in the first round itself.

Our faculty are not teaching Knowledge oriented but they are teaching marks oriented. As per me marks oriented teaching is necessary when the examinations were near. Till that the focus should on developing knowledge. It is necessary to make students brilliant through teaching them with practical engagements. They are just teaching how to get good marks. This topic is most important on exam point of view and all. But the major change required is the way of teaching or quality of teaching. Also I think more qualified faculty is needed. So that he can share deeper knowledge in a practical view. Because whence you teach someone it is necessary that you should have proper knowledge of that subject in depth.
