My college review

They introduced low cost quality food scheme in our canteen which is the most appreciated thing. It really helped us many a times. But they should focus on teaching standards in future even though they improved alot since previous years.

Our BTech is divided into 8 semesters i.e, 4 years. For every semester we have 5+ subjects and 1+ labs. I think course curriculum is good enough but I seriously want them to make our course more practical. They should add some technical fests, other events which will improve students technical skills. Our university board should make these mandatory for every college under it. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University of Kakinada has more than 150 colleges under it. All those colleges have same curriculum, syllabus, exam pattern. For every semester we have 2 mid exams whose marks will be added to our semester exams. In the final year we also have project. For every 3 years our university board introduces new exam pattern, curriculum we call that as regulation change (regulation 13 which means this is introduced in 2013 and will be followed until 2015 after that R16 will be introduced).

Before 4-5 years MNCs used to visit our college every year. But after that many MNCs stopped visiting colleges and started conducting national qualifier tests. So, like our on campus placement offers are reduced. No, our college doesn't provide internship. If we personally want to intern at some company we should do that in our after semester holidays.

Every year we have fresher's day for new comers. For 1st year students they have a 40 days event where you can show your talent. Some times we have interaction event between students and faculty. Before 5 year's our college used to conduct biggest cultural event but due to some reasons they stopped conducting it. They should start conducting it.

For every student who alloted seat based on EAMCET entrance exam under some factors like income status of family etc., AP State government is providing full fee reimbursement scheme. Previously government used to pay 30-40k per year but from 2018 onwards government started full fee reimbursement scheme. Students who doesn't fall under this scheme are very little they have to pay full. Who doesn't fall under those who are having more family income so for them it is feasible.

Based on EAMCET entrance exam result under some factors like income status of family, caste etc., AP State government is providing full fee reimbursement scheme. Previously government used to pay 30-40k per year for each student but from 2018 onwards government started full fee reimbursement scheme. This comes under scholarship facility by our college.

Especially our college is providing a very good environment for sports. Our college sports team participates in state, national level competitions also. Our college also provides NCC, NSS also. Our college host NCC camps for students from schools, junior colleges in our surroundings. We also have good labs but still we need improvement in labs.

Some times our college invites past alumni who succeeded in their life to share their experiences. During our 1st year we had interaction with seniors from then onwards they helped in many situations how to deal with projects, how to conduct fests etc.,

In Andhra Pradesh, we can get admission in medicine and engineering based on EAMCET entrance exam. Like everyone else I also attended EAMCET and after the results of entrance exam they announced counseling dates. In the counseling they verify our certificates etc., Later we have to select some preference list of colleges. So, opted my college as one of the preference in counseling. After that they will allot us seat in some college based on the EAMCET rank, our college preference, caste and some other factors.

We had a good experienced faculty in the past. But now they should hire more faculty who are having some standards. They should also try new teaching methods making our concepts more practical. We enjoyed our classes when they teach un in practical manner.
