Good Basics

I only have positive remarks for my college as it is a very nice college with a lot of good course , study method , placements , extracurricular activities, good faculties and good experimental labs. The seniors and alumnus are also very good and helpful. You need high merit to get admission in B.E. in this college as it is one of the top Colleges of Madhya Pradesh

The Course Curriculum is closely copied from the IIT's and hence the papers are set by the College Itself and not the university (which is still RGPV). Hence here you need to study a lot of books to have technical knowledge to pass the examinations. ( Most of students in Colleges of MP pass the examination by simply mugging up a guide for exam in 1-2 days but this type of paper is not asked In our college hence here u need to study course books for passing each subject).

College fest is held every year but it is not upto the mark like IIT'S and NIT's. Our college fest is named Aayam and it is better to attend the college fest Akshank of IET DAVV Indore as it is one of the best college fest of Indore. But our college is a lot better from IET DAVV in other areas except organising fests. Other activities like StreetDance, plays , Concerts are organised regularly throughout the year.

My fees per semester was ? 23000 approx. As u can see it is already lesser than NIT's for which it is ?100000 per annum. The reason behind this is that our college is a government autonomous College which gets most of its fundings from Central and State Governments.

The Institute offered many scholarship programmes both Funded by government and some private companies. For the governmental schemes you need to have reservation or should be of poor background and your whole semester fees is refunded annually in your bank account. For private Scholarship schemes one needs to clear an aptitude test and interview and the rest process is same.

The labs are brand new and contain state of the art machines and equipments for various practicals. The College has a big cricket ground in which Intraclass and Interclass Cricket tournaments are organised every semesters. We als have a basketball and volleyball ground and a beautiful garden on the front of Mechanical Engineering Department.

No I hadn't opted for the hostel as hostel infrastructure was not upto the mark as it is in other good colleges like NIT's and IIT's. The hostel included good fiber optic internet connection with download speeds upto 50 MBPS. The mess offered poor quality food and bathrooms were not clean. The boys hostel is in very old buildings built in 20th century. The Girls hostel has good facilities and infrastructure as it is new.

Seniors are very helpful as they help u become a man in your first year. They also guide you towards every activity and competitions and help you a lot in your college and even outside your college. I remember an incident in which a tree fell on one of our juniors and we formed a donation page to save him as he was from poor background and his parents couldn't afford the treatments. We collected ?25 lakhs from donations due to various alumnus of our college from various batches some donating as. Large as 500$. The alumnus network is really good with Reunions being organised frequently.

I got admission in my college when I attended college level counselling in which there was only one seat left for each of the branches. I had missed the earlier counselling rounds and so I was the only one student who got an AIR of 32500 in JEE Mains and a state rank of 1451 due to which I was able to get the only one seat left in mechanical engineering. After that I submitted the fees and necessary documents and completed my admission. Bring all the documents necessary for admission which include Migration Certificate, Transfer Certificate, Character Certificate, all your marksheets and JEE Main scorecard along with 2-2 photocopies

Most of the faculty are highly educated professionals in their respective fields from various IIT's and others who teach mostly first year students are recent graduates of M.Tech from good colleges. Teaching techniques are good and impressive especially for Civil And Computer Science Engineering.
