Positive remarks - There is a large leisure time for self study and extra curricular activites. Good environment. We are second to none. Negative remarks - Bad classroom facilities, Bad transport facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The ongoing Course Curriculum is good. But it can be made even better. There are 2 mid semester examination in each semester of 20 marks. And extra 5 marks for attendence and 5 marks for assignments. The leftover 70 marks will be awarded to you on the basis of your performance in End Semester Examination of each semester.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are good in my college but it can be even better. Due to lack of good location and transport facilities, the tech giant companies are not willing to come to my college. One thing I will say about the college students of BIT Sindri that they were always willing to excel with their hard work. No my college doesn't provide any internship programme.
College Events
There is a cultural fest for enjoyment. In the cultural fest, there is a competition for the fresher's known as Fresher Of The Year. The cultural fest usually organised in the mid of November. Then in the February, there is a technical fest. In it various technical models were presented. And within the year various recreational and knowledgeable competitions gets organised like painting, Treasure hunting etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure comprises of the academic and non academic fee. The academic fee is about ?7500 per year. And the Hostel mess charge is ?30000 per year. Electricity bill is ?2000 for a year. And also there is a examination fee of ?4000. I think that the fee is feasible for a student belonging to a middle class family.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship and loan facility provided to meritorious students. Those students were provided a full refund of their academic fees. The students whom scholarships were provided must be either branch topper or college topper. Also there is a TFW Quota under which students with low family income can avail a discount on their academic fee.
Campus Life
There is ample opportunity given to students to indulge in extra curricular activities like Sketching. Logo making, graphics designing etc. But the condition of labs were very pathetic. There is very less equipment available in labs and even some of them stopped working in between the ongoing experiments. Sports facilities are also not upto the mark. Students were not provided sports equipments.
Hostel Facilities
In case there is power cut in our Hostel, there is no generator or inverter facility. Also the Hostel mess food is very bad just like shit specially the breakfast. But the Hostel infrastructure is good but it can be made better if almirahs were provided to each of the residing students. The space provided in each room for every student is not enough. We have to share a single room with at least 4 students. So the condition is very pathetic.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of our college is very big. And they come regularly during the year and help us economically, and also provide us the details of market trends, techno facts etc. Also the seniors are very helpful here. They are ready anytime to help the Juniors. They just want respect and for that they will even die for Juniors.
Admission
At first you have to appear in JEE Mains exam and then after qualifying that, you have to submit your JEE Mains details in JCECEB JEE Mains portal by paying online one time counseling fee. Then after 4 to 5 days of ending of JEE Mains Application submission, JCECEB Board publishes the state level merit list on the basis of JEE Mains percentile. With that state level rank, you shall apply for the online counseling and then admission. Note that only those candidates will be able to get admitted in BIT Sindri who had completed their 12th from Jharkhand.
Faculty
The faculties of the college are kind by heart and also have a good knowledge of their subject. But they lack in teaching skills. I think their teaching skills is bad enough that in my opinion they are not perfect even for class 10th students.
