Positive - Good placement, good exposure, too many opportunities to recognize one's own talent, many clubs to learn different things, in-house fooding facility. Negative - Little conservative ideology of the administration.

The course curriculum is easy to adapt to, with students facing minimal pressure and we have 2 mid sems, 2 minor exams and 1 end sem. The scoring criteria is always well informed to the students before they appear for the exam.

The placements and internships are top notch with companies like Google, Microsoft and Uber visiting the campus regularly and PSUs like BHEL, GAIL, ISRO, BPCL, etc also visiting us. Internships like that of ITC and foreign internships through MITACS, Canada can be availed by students. Stipend offered ranges from 10k/month to 1.25 lacs/month.

Technological fest called Technozion is conducted every year after the mid semester. Cultural fest called Springspree. Various other events organized by different clubs and government directed events like Vigilance Week.

The fee structure is very feasible with only Rs. 1,25,000 being charged as tuition fee for general students and free study for SC/ST and specially abled students. The room rent is a nominal 4000rs for a single room, available with LAN service.

SBI offers a good loan scheme to the college students who are willing to pay the loan later themselves or with the help of their parents. Merit scholarship is given to at least top 7 students of each branch, depending on their CGPA.

All kinds of extracurricular activities are promoted by the college, such as weightlifting and bodybuilding in the college gym, or be it late night experimentation done in laboratories, which are available 24×7.

Biggest single building hostel in Asia which houses 1.8k students and fees I have described before. There's another hostel which can house over 1000 students called 1K hostel. Ladies hostel has a basketball court within and a new one is also being built for them.

Alumni network is very good with the NITWAA still funding many projects in the college. There's an e-rickshaw service sponsored by them as well as the Training & Placement centre has been established under the guidance of Dr. VA Sastry, co-founder of Infosys.

Through JEE MAIN exam, a decent score of above 150 is enough to get admission here through the JoSAA counselling process conducted by CBSE. After counselling is done, one has to physically report to the college for room allotment and other mere formalities.

NITW has the largest number of faculty available among all NITs, with most of them having national level distinction. Some of the professors in our college directly supervise major government undertakings.
