Syllabus design is very good. Exams conducted semester vise with some sessional exams. Assignment and seminar also conducted regularly. Fair examination and personality development programs. Odd semester starts in December and ends in late December or early January followed by winter vacations.

There is no guarantee of placement, however its not like there is no placement but you have to make efforts yourself. No internship provided within department except some dept. like Geophysics, they provide internship opportunity to their students.

Ratnavali is the biggest annual event celebrated within the University premises. Any of the enrolled student can participate in the several cultural and Literary events. Alumni meets, earth day celebration for awareness, teachers day, convocation etc. are some the events.

Tuition fees is very low and feasible but in the self finance course like M.tech Geology fees is about 50k per semester. Hostel fees also around 15000 per year with 2500-3000 per month charges of mess.

No Scholarship provided by the University only benefited by the scholarship schemes run by State or Central government. University give the one time scholarship to only one student of a batch who is the over all topper in grades in that particular batch.

Alumni connection is very good. Alumni guidance for academics and help in job opportunities are remarkable. They give every possible support to their juniors. Alumni are useful in every aspect within & after the University.

Apply for the admission offline in the month of june. Submit the hard copy via post or physically in Department. Merit list displayed & got the notification for admission if shortlisted for admission. Reach the department on admission date physically, once the original documents get verified, proceed to admission. Admission is confirmed after submission of semester fees.

Permanent faculties are good and qualified. Takes the classes regularly. Some lectures taken by research scholars and not enough fruitful. Faculties are supporting in every aspect related to academic or future.
