Good college in very good environment

Positive : Good placments,Good package, Extra curricular activities, Exam structure, Lab equipmentis very good,sports equipment. Negative : Faculty is not so good, New books are not there in library very long distance from one block to block.

Course curriculum is good and exam structure in GIET college is 60 marks external and 40 marks internals ,For the 60 marks external exam, time is 3 hrs and in internal exam 10 marks for online bits exam ,5 marks for assignment and 25 marks for mid exams.

Placements are good but only in software companies. Core companies which are visiting the college are very less when compared to the software companies.Last year the placements are around 500 and the highest pacakage is 7.5 lakhs and the average package is around 3.2 lakhs. In summer , college provides some certification training programs but not provide any internship in college.

Every year GIET college conducts a technical fest called MEDHA in which all technical compitations are conducted. For every two years there is a national level Cultural fest Called MYTHRI.And conduct so many cultural fests.

As an autonomous institution fee structure is a little expensive when compared to the normal colleges under JNTU.But the labs and equipment in labs are better then some normal colleges.For 2017-2021 batch the fee is 78000 and extra fees for library ,CRT classes etc.

College not provide any scholorship but government provide monthly scholor ship and fee reimbursement for the below poverty line people.Bank loans are available for the students who qualified in EAMCET.

Extracurricular activities are very oftenly conducted by college like cricket compitations ,football compitations,kabadi ,volleyball compitations.For every two years a national level cultural fest is conducted by college called MYTHRI.

I have not seen any alumni network in my college till date.But senior students suggestions are very helpfull and campus placements experience and thier lab experiments experience are shared with us.This is very helpful for my placment time.

There are two ways to join in GIET college 1. AP EAMCET and 2. Managment. For those who not cleared the EAMCET exam and wanted to join in GIET college then they prefer Managment quota.There is no difference between this two except the benifts from the Government.For those who qualified in EAMCET , government provide some scholoships.

In ECE department there are 4 faculty with Phd and 8 faculty who is pursuing Phd and remaining are with MTech qualifucation.Faculty is not excellent but good.In my point of view faculty is having more theoritical knowledge but less practical knowledge.
