The college is trying to do their best when it comes to maintaining the quality of education the faculties and members of the word are constantly trying to increase the level of knowledge provided to the students but due to to the lack of good curriculum as provided by the University CS VTU we are bound to study only what is proposed at this level this kind of structure limits the potential of both students and the faculty members. Big companies usually do not prefer to visit these third tier colleges for or hiring freshers and this is one major negative point according to me. The overall education provided and the kind of atmosphere provided among the best students of Chhattisgarh is one positive thing in this college.

The course curriculum in my college is just like most other engineering colleges in India. The course is outdated by at least 10 years , the subjects taught to us are not relevant to the industry. There are some changes made recently but these changes are not significant. The entire structure is not industry based hence a graduate may not find suitable job opportunities just buy graduation from this college if he or she only studies what is taught in the college.

There is a training and placement cell in my college that is responsible for the placements of all the branch students. In my college mostly companies for IT and CSE branches come for placements. There is a shortage for visiting companies when it comes to branches other than IT CSE. I had the opportunity to sit for placement of two companies and I got placed in both of them. One was Capgemini and the other one was SAP LABS. Both of these companies were looking for software developers they had a online test and then to technical interview rounds followed by a HR round. My college allows internships for third year and final year students in the duration may vary from 2 to 6 months. I have not enrolled in any of the internship.

Every month there are some event organised by the respective communities clubs in my college from technical to cultural events. There are quizzes group discussions paper presentations hackathons debates dance and singing competitions going on throughout the year. The main festival in my college is known as Ojas which takes place in the month of February and March it is a one combined event where every kind of competition for all the students and for the students of nearby colleges takes place. It is the grandest event where students find sponsors and organisers for each event.

The fee structure is 34400 rupees per semester for BTech students. This is not very expensive. The overall fees includes tuition fees , placement charges , sports fee , structure free , development fee and security money.

The college is affiliated with AICTE. Every year AICTE Grand 100% free off for 5% of total students. Scholarship is also available in my college and it is provided on the basis of merit on CGPET rank. I secured a rank of 176 and I was among the top five students who joined this college hence I got the scholarship and my overall tuition fees was waived off.

Various activities take place in my college there are auditoriums, both indoor and outdoor. A big ground for cricket and football besides there are are grounds for basketball handball volleyball badminton tennis Table Tennis. The Labs in my college are well furnished and equipped with advanced machines. They have been updated and the infrastructure is good.

There is a good relation between seniors and juniors my network is in touch with the TP department and they are always ready to help the students. But there is not a very good touch maintained with all the seniors who have passed out of this college we as a student never get the chance to interact with them provided by our college. If we ever encounter our element on social sites like LinkedIn and Facebook they are always ready to help and guidance. The overall alumni network is not very good even though I am studying in the 34th batch of B tech.

There is exam by the name Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CGPET) , I secured a rank 176 in that exam and in the first round of counseling I got my first preference ie CSE in Btech at BIT durg. All the colleges affiliated to the CSVTU University take admission on the basis of CGPET exam, My college being one of them.

The faculties are knowledgeable and experienced. They are friendly and very helpful. They follow their duties very professionally. Some some of them are still pursuing their PHD the the guidance provided by them in various subjects and projects has been very useful and they continue to support us in learning new things.
