Remarks

Everything is negative. You cant play on the field during off periods, you can't play in your class, you can't sing, you can't laugh, you can't do this and do that. Strict about attendances and many times there are errors.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

We have semester wise exam structure. Pass papers are MCQ based for the first 4 semester. Honours paper are written. In 5th and 6th semester, everything is written. Syllabus is quite huge and its really hard for students to cope up.

Placement Experience

1.5

The only company that conducts placement cell in our college is Concentrix and I have not seen any other company conducting any placement cell. And honestly I really don't know about any internships.

College Events

1

No events are celebrated in our college. Only one annual sports and sometimes a picnic which is also conducted by Students' union. No fest, no teacher's day celebration, no Children's Day celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. However its increasing adruptly with every passing semester. Still quite feasible. Tuition fees, standing charges, lab fees(if any), exam fees and also if you are non-collegiate you have to pay a fine.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students do get scholarship. But thry have to be very aware of the scholarship schemes and should opt within a specified time period. I don't know about any loan facilities. I didn't opt for one so I really don't know about which is good.

Campus Life

3

If you are interested in sports, you can get admission through sports quota too. The attendance required in this, however, is low but you have to maintain that to sit in the semester examination. Lab is good.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Its a general college, so there is no hostel facility. Now, what I have to write to make this answer reach 200 characters? I really don't know. Maybe you guys should take a review about your irrelevant conditions required in your Reviews.

Alumni/Alumna

My batch is currently the seniormost in the college among the students but when we were juniors, the seniors were sometimes helpful but the Students union used to fight among themselves regarding politics and that used to scare many of my classmates.

Admission

First we are required to apply online by filling up form and paying some amount required. Then they publish provisional merit list. After that certain number of candidates are called for face to face verification at a certain time till no seats are vaccant.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty members are friendly as well as strict, depends on their mood. Sometimes they behave very well when on the other time we are harassed in many ways like guardian call for a matter in which our guardians are not at all interested in.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
