I'm a Student of 4 year integrated BA.BEd course and presently studying in 5th semester. As per my experience in RIE. The year integrated course helps us to build skilled teachers. It offers 2 weeks of multicultural program in the 6th semester and 4 months internship at any JNV in the 7th semester. After the 4 year integrated course a student becomes skilled and confident school teacher. Exams are of semester pattern. Practical exams are conducted for the appropriate subjects.

At the end of the course several private schools give placements to our students and all the students get placed every year. Yes, the college sends the students for a 4 months internship in JNVs in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand. A 4 months experience certificate is also provided by the respective JNVs.

Independence day, Ganesh chaturthi, Teacher's day, Diwali, Chatt puja, Children's day, Annual sports meet, Annual cultural night, Hostel annual night, Republic day, Saraswati puja, Freshers party, Farewell party.

Fee is not really expensive as RIE is a central government institution. The fee for 1 academic year is around 15000. And the hostel fees are - 2100 p/m (per day - 70rs for mess) 12×2100= 25200. Establishment fees - 7200 p/year. Hostel Cultural fee- 500.

A scholarship of rs 800 per month is awarded to the list of selected students based on their marks, attendance and family income. Based on the family income the college provides 800 INR per month to the low family income students and 400 INR per month to the other selected students.

There are several laboratories of physics, chemistry, zoology, botany, geography etc. Many sports events are organised by our college which consists of cricket, volleyball, badminton, football, table tennis, lawn tennis, long jump, high jump, shot put, athletics etc.

There are 5 hostels present in the campus. out of the 5 hostels 3 of them are girls hostel (Gopabandhu hostel, Ramanujan hostel, Ashutosh hostel. and there is only 1 boys hostel that is The HOMIBHABHA HOSTEL. Another hostel is Sarojini hostel which is now converted into guest house. In HOMIBHABHA HOSTEL there are 300 students staying presently. 1 room holds 3 boarders. Mess is providing food 3 times a day. 24 hrs water and electricity supply. Outing time for girls is 8pm and for boys 10pm.

The seniors in RIE Bhubaneswar are most helpful. Everyone is so friendly here and the seniors and juniors stay like brothers and sisters in the hostel. Juniors are treated as younger brother and juniors also respect the seniors in the hostel as an elder brother.

Admission process starts with filling up the registration form on the website www.riebbs.com/ RIECEE with an admission fee of 800 INR. After the commencement of +2 results, the students are required to upload the marks obtained in +2. After few days a merit list will be uploaded on the institute website where the list showing the candidates with confirm and waiting lists. Based on the merit students are called with an admission letter for offline counseling at the campus itself.

At present the college is full with contractual teachers. There is no students union in RIE Bhubaneswar and the faculty can make new and stupid rules for the students every now and then. If anyone wants to be a school teacher then go for it. Otherwise a normal graduation of 3 years is better because the target of RIE is to create school teachers.
