Remarks

Everything is good about the college but their over discipline creates uncomfortable situations. In case of attendance they are least bothered about genuine medical cases also and do not allow the student to sit in exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Being one of the best commerce college in India St. Xavier's College Kolkata is one of the most professional College in terms of course and curriculum and daily classes and way of teaching by professors makes it easy for you to perform well in exam. There is IT training also for all the students. Paper checking is also very unbiased and perfect.

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes, the college offers internship opportunities to students of different courses and the placement structure is also good. Renowned companies like Morgan Stanley, OYO, JP morgan Chase appear for placements with minimum package of INR 8 Lacs per annum.

College Events

4.5

We celebrate each and every national festivals in our college and the most happening thing is Xavotsav (Annual Cultural Fest) of our college which happens to be in January every year and continues for 3 days. We also have cultural fest for underprivileged children and we often go to thier village for educating them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is a little bit costly as compared to Delhi University but way less than Private university and colleges like Amity. Per month it comes around 5000 INR for a normal graduation course.

Fees and Financial Aid

You are below the povery line they offers you a concession in fee and for children staying outside Kolkata they offer train reimbursement expenses for going home in case of emergency. I have not availed the same.

Campus Life

3.5

There are numerous extra curricular activities like cricket, basket ball, football, table tennis. Science lab is way too good in college and many societies which organises various events for learning and exploration.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel infrastructure is very good and clean but when it comes to food part it is horrible. Discipline is way too much that why students hesitate to stay there and some rules and regulation are very bad which can humiliate a person also as they make mandatory for students to sit and study in front of them if you are getting less marks.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the senior students are very helpful and they provide you immediate help whenever required. The atmosphere is very much good in College and all are friendly. There is no ragging by seniors and are very helpful.

Admission

After getting 12th result we have to fill online admission form the website. After this the college releases merit list and in this list your interview date and time is also mentioned. We have to go for a interview with Vice principal and Dean after filling all the necessary admission forms and fee. Interview is just a formality type pf thing where they sign on your admission form and wish all the best. After submitting fees we get the date of joining and our id cards.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
