The College of your dream

The college is really good, and a dream for any student, any day. Though, apart from that, the food quality is not that good. And unnecessary restrictions on the boys to wear round neck TShirt is really irritating. Apart from that, this is one of the best place to study.

The course curriculum is a bit high standard, and normalised with the top graded universities of the country. The exam structure is semester system. So, two Semesters per year. And, in each semester there are atleast two exams, the mid-term and the End Semester exam. And along with that, a CIA, i.e. Continuous Internal Assessment.

Yes, the college does provide Internship. It offers one of the best placements and job opportunities. Comapnies, that visit are Nvidea, Amazon, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, etc. The stipend is also quite good. One of my seniors got placed in Amazon corp. and is now settled in Bengaluru with a quite a handful salary. One of my friends is in ICICI Bank and is now doing quiet well there.

There's lots and lots of events are being celebrated in the college. Something or the other keeps on happening. There's, the Annual Fest, Xavotsav, the largest College Fest of West Bengal. Other than that, there is Bengali Literary Society presenting Bodhon. And there are other societies too, viz. Hindi Society, English Society, Fine Arts Society, who have their respective fests, which are celebrated by the whole college.

The fee structure is feasible. It even offers grant for students whose income level is below a level but are really meritorious. The fees keep on changing, but they change keeping in mind the ultimate aim of the college, that is to spread education.

The college doesn't offer any kind of loans or scholarships. It does give grant for meritorious students falling in lower income groups. Besides that, on requesting the Vice Principal, he may arrange for a loan, on some special occasions.

The extracurricular activities are highly enriched here. There's a regular practice of sports like, basketball, football, table tennis, chess, goes on. The labs are one of the best in West Bengal, with highly modern Technologies installed in the lab. The library is also enriched with a huge collection of books.

Being one of the oldest college of the city, it has a very strong alumni network. Due to them, a lot of students get facilitated by the companies arriving for placements. The seniors are really helpful, and they helps in maintaining a healthy neighborhood in the college.

It takes in students, bases on the secondary and higher secondary examinations' marks. Some courses demand an interview session. At first, you have to submit your scores from the secondary and higher secondary courses, then they will bring out a merit list based on the marks.

The faculties are highly qualified and are distinguished alumnus of different reputed universities. They really take care of the students, and gives their best to deliver their lectures in the most simple ways possible.
