An insight into MSIT

according to me college is good in academics and teacher focus more on academics rather than co curricular activities.no extra curricular activities are held in college and the fund given for college annual fest is also very less. no sports equipment are provided by the college and students have to bring their own equipments.

The course curriculum seems to be outdated as they haven't modified curriculum for past 10 years. Even being in CSE there are no subjects related to coding in 1st year. For theory papers two exams are taken in one semester internal exam - carrying 25 marks and external exam -carrying 75 marks. for practical exam internal exam -carrying 40 marks external exam- carrying 60 marks.

For cse branch placement opportunities are fine and the avg. package is around 5 LPA. and highest is 15-18 LPA. but for other brabches the avg. package goes down to around 3-4 LPA. as mostly students are placed in mass recuiters. college doesn't provide any internship.

In our college many events are celebrated by each society of college. the main events are ENVA it the annual fest of MSIT organized by PRAKRITI MSIT. this fest consists of many activities like dancing ,gaming ,singing,eating challenge ,talent show and much more. A technical fest is also organized in our college by IEEE MSIT and this event consists of many competitions like coding,gaming ,robowar and much more.

fee structure is kind of feasible when compared to other private colleges but what i feel is that the college fails to provide the facilities in accordance to the fees they charge. earlier total fees was Rs 1,16,000 P.A but this year they increased the fees by Rs 20000 totalling to 1,36,000 P.A

Scholarship facility is not offered by our college but a national and state level scholarship is offered by the Central and state government respectively. both the scholarship are worth Rs 10000 per annum but only one of the can be availed

extracurricular activities are not good at all. labs are not equipped with new technology and very less apparatus are kept in labs. no sports goods are provided by college and there is no separate space for different sports.there is only one playground

hostel infrastructure is not good at all and mess food is fine. no laundary facility is provided by the hostel. there is no option for air conditioned rooms. the charges for both hostel rooms and mess bith are high.

alumni network is good and often alumnis come for comducting various sessions for sharing there industrial experience. seniors are really helpful and are always keen to share their knowledge and help us get famialize to the college environment

This college comes under IPU and till previous year IPU conducted its entrance test for admissions into affiliated colleges of IPU. But from this year (2019) onwards admissions were on the basis of JEE Mains rank. first we had to online fill up the form for registration into cutoff list for admission and do choice filling. Around one month later cutoff lists were displayed and allotment letter was issued on website itself. we had to take its printout to the college and get our admission done.

faculty of college is strict mainly related to assingment submission and attendance. they ask for minimum 75% attendance and won't allow you sit for exam if have less than 70%. Teaching wise faculty is good.
