Remarks
According to me It's very good college. People have their own review on the college but I have my own experiences. So i will recommend this college for Marine engineering. Also it is near from the capital Delhi. No language problem.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is totally managed by Indian Maritime University Chennai, The exam structure comes from the Indian Maritime University Chennai and the answer sheets are checked by Indian Maritime University Chennai.
Placement Experience
The placement of International Maritime Institute is average but they are working on it and soon it will have 100% placement As per the Director General of shipping rules college should give 85% placement to students.
College Events
College celebrate many events on sports, technical fest, cultural fest. Also National Maritime Day is celebrated at inter college level. Naughtica is celebrated in Mumbai every year. Overall there is lot of fest all round the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure for the Btech is little bit expensive around 4 lac+ every year. But it is all worth, in future you can make a lot of money. And the fee structure is increasing every year. It is a old college, you can trust on it.
Fees and Financial Aid
As you know it is a private college,there is no scholarship given by college. You can take loan from bank, this facility is available for every students and in future you can pay your loan. Fee is a little bit high.
Campus Life
As I have discussed earlier the college celebrate extracurricular activities very much. They support every talent and encourage students to do many activities, apart from studies. They provide free coaching for music and band.
Hostel Facilities
Everyone in the college opted for hostel. It is compulsory for every students to live in hostel and biometric attendance is required for them. The DG shipping of India made strict rules for the students.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network of the college is very good. It is 25 year old college so the network is very big in the industry and the seniors are also very helpful. Also the marine faculty also have many contact in the industry.
Admission
After giving 12th board exams.You have to give IMU exam. Then you should approach to college, they take interview and select deserving students. Or you can do diploma and then you can take admission in college.
Faculty
The faculty of college is very good. For core subjects there is normal faculty with at least 5 year experience in this field. For Marine subjects there is marine faculty, They are from Indian Navy or Merchant Navy with at least 20 years of experience in the field
