Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is totally relevant. There are major four practicals - food production, housekeeping, front office, food and beverage service. And there are different theory subjects which vary from semester to semester. The college is equipped with everything required to teach these subjects.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement has been 100% for the party for many years and all in the top hotel and retail brands, with fairly good starting packages.

College Events

Our college has different cultural societies - dance, music, drama, photography, writers, orators, decor. Many events are organised in the college like Independence Day, Republic Day, Teachers Day, Annual Day, Sports Day. Also, different theme lunch is also organised from time to time.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Though the fee structure is more than any other government college, the facilities provided are definitely worth it. We have fully equipped kitchens. Raw materials and ingredients are purchased daily. Plus lunch is provided in the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan for the admission purpose. It was all self-funded.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is 60/40. 60 for men, 40 for women. Regular different theme lunches are organised in the college. Hence there is exposure for the kitchen team, FnB service team, ushering team, and cultural team. Sports day is organised in the commonwealth games stadium, Akshardham

Alumni/Alumna

All the seniors are helpful. They help us get to know the rules and regulation of the college and making us familiar with the college.

Admission

There is an entrance for this college named NCHMCT JEE, which comprises of math, verbal ability, logical reasoning and service sector. One results are out, we get to know our all India rank. And then we can choose the institutes we like to get admitted to. And it outranks matches the desired rank cutoff of that institute, the fees procedure starts.

Faculty

The faculty is very experienced. Either they are industry-related people or have done the masters to teach a particular subject. Also, we have guest lectures and guest classes from people renowned in the industry. So the knowledge imparted is well and as per the current status of the industry.

IHM Pusa - An Inside View

Placement Experience:

In second year of college, all the stuidents are required to go for Industrial training where many groups/organisations accept applications for Industrial trainees. Many hotel chains like The LEELA, ITC, LALIT, etc,. visit the college for placements along with other organisations from different industries as well. Post pandemic, the placement ratio has sky-rocketed to 70-80%.

Remarks:

The college is too small . The committee's should try to build a big and spacious campus for the students .Rest everything is good . As it is one of the best college in India. According to me it should provide free afternoon meal to all the students in a day as the students spend a lot by having food outside and wasting the money.

The NCHMCT, organises an exam under the name of NCHM-JEE, where students who wish to apply and pursue their careers into the hospitality sector can appear and give the exam. There are mainly three category of colleges - Government, Semi-Government and Private Institutions.
