College review

My campus do not officiate any trips that are guided by faculty, so that our parents can allow us to go. So this is the negative thing about my college. This is the best college for students who are mainly focused on studies rather than students are coming to college for time pass.

Course curriculum is made in such a way that the students are not burdened with studies and have surplus time for extra curricular activities. Also we have one foriegn language of our choice in our course. Exams are set after each semester and are based on the course syllabus provided to the students and taught in the classes.

In Btech cse, the course i am currently pursuing, the placements are 95%. That includes all the students who are eligible to sit in the placement, will get the placement. As there are more than 200 companies that come in campus for the placements, so no student is left without a job. No, my college does not provide internships.

Amity is known for its yearly event "inbush". This event is sponsered with more than 1 crore rupees. Many actors , singers and artists are guests in this event. Also there are events for all major festivals and are funded by students who are going to attend it.

The fee of my college is a bit on expensive side. Comparing it to other colleges for btech , this college has a fee set above feasible bar. But provides facilities in accordance to the fee. The main reason of this expensive fee structure is due to the high placements Amity provides.

I, myself, is a scholar in my college. The college provides scholarships based on 12th marks.if student has above 93% in 12th , 100% scholarship. Between 87% and 93%, 50% scholarship. Between 75% and 87%, 25% scholarship. Lower than 75% , no scholarship is provided. This scholarship is provided in first year, and for the 2nd year the cgpa of first year is taken into account and if the scholar have good marks than the scholarship is continued.

Labs in my college are well maintained. Computer labs have up to date systems. Wifi is available all over the internet free for all the students. Library is provided to the student to issue the books in the curriculam for 1 semester and other books for 14 days. Sports equipments are also provided but are not available all the time.

I have not opted college hostel myself but i have many friends who are living in college hostel. The overall experience is okayish. The food is not to great, and there are not any facilities provided. The hostel warden is friendly in nature.

Senior students are very helping in nature. There was no ragging in the college campus by any of the senior. They are always willing to help us in any need. As now I am in 3rd year and was asking seniors about placements and they were open about discussing and guiding every thing to us.

After i applied online, i was assigned a date for entrance exam.I gave the entrance exam. After the exam i gave a short interview. Then after some days i recieved an email that i was short listed in college. In the first day of college i registered my self by submitting marksheets and affidevits.

The faculty of the college is very friendly and helping in nature. The teaching is great. And if we have any problem we can go to any teacher or we can go to our mentors that are assigned to us after the registration process in first year. Most of the faculty is experienced and handles the subjects very well.
