SVNIT academic curriculum

Stress to be laid on improving the quality of education. Some faculties are not teaching even close to the academic curriculum. This must be avoided.Also placement scenarios for core branches such as civil branch should be improved.

Course curriculum at SVNIT is on the lighter mode as compare to the contemporary IIT's.Once one easily secure good Marks by just reading one week before the exam.Semester system is there as odd and even semester.Each semester has mid semester and end semester examination

Overall placements are good.Non core branches like Computer and electronics branches have higher packages and offers as compare to core branches like Mechanical and electrical branches.Civil branch has very few placement offers.Also, institute offer branch wise summer internship for 3 students from each branch and stipend is Rs 5000

Sparsh is the major cultural and technical event in the college.Earlier till 2012, there used to separate technical event named Mindbend and cultural event sparse Now both are combined in one.There is an inter college sport event called IGNIS and famous intra year night cricket tournament called MMNCT

Till 2013, it was 20500 in odd semester and 17500 in even semester.After 2013, it was doubled still it is affordable as compare to the service it is providing to the students with world class state of art laboratories are there.

Government scholarships is there for marginalised sections.Beside that there is separate scholarships for SC ,ST and disabled candidates.Some private scholarships are also there like OP Jindal scholarships program, IOCL scholarships program.Loans are available at cheaper interest rate from many commercial bank.

World class laboratories are there.Multi floor library is there.Besides these all, great infrastructure are there.There is a playground in the heart of the institute.The college has a well equipped gymnasium, tennis court, basketball ball court table tennis set up.

Yes, World class hostel infrastructure is there specially swami vivekanand bhavan and bhabha bhavan.Mess caterers keep on rotating intra hostel wise.Mess of 3rd and final year and mtech Students are far better than btech 1st and 2nd year.

Yes we a good alumni network working in most of the major cities like Delhi Mumbai Bangalore Surat ahmedabad etc.The alumni cell frequently organize get together programs.Also the college is holding reunion program for the batches who have completed 25 and 50 years after getting pass out.

I got a seat in Mechanical engineering branch through AIEEE 2012 rank.The seat was allocated through a centralized counselling based on merit.Now a days , JEE Main rank is the criteria for securing a seat in the college.

It is mix of great faculties and no so good faculties.Core branches such as Mechanical, Civil and Electrical branches have better faculties as compared to non core branches like computer,electronics and chemical branches
