Remarks

I must say that do not keep this college as a first option. But it is overall ok.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I wouldn't really suggest this college as a first option because this college has a lot of management issues that are not resolved in a fast pace. However this college is good for courses like yoga, arts, music, etc. But do not expect placement in bachelor's degrees. Our batch was the first who got some placement, but not our senior batches. No internship help is also provided.

Placement Experience

1.5

Internships are not provided to students of bachelor's degree. But for MBA, they have some good placement and internships. Placement for the Bachelor's degree is very rare.

College Events

2

We have many events like MUN, ORION FEST, B FESTS, CONCLAVES, etc. But they are not compulsory and it depends on the student whether they participate or not. However, alot of students participate and these are very successful. You even get attendance for participating in these FESTS. Certificates are also given.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are not very high. They are affordable. The hostel is not compulsory. But backlog fees are also there. Backlog fees are 500 INR. Special exams are 800 INR. However, I must say that fees are not high and there will be no issue regarding fees. However sometimes students feel that fees are high and management activities are not well coordinated.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not available a study loan. It is advised to contact the bank (ICICI, where Sri Sri University has an account) or any other bank where you have an account.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is ok. There are always some problems but if you have some good friends and contacts, it will be easy to sustain in college. The ratio of body girl students are good. They give alot of importance to extracurricular activities, like FESTS and sports. People in the campus are cooperative but some staff have attitude issues.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni of the college are well of. Some of them have their own business and do not go for placement. They are very friendly and always help you.

Admission

I got admission as a late entry. I chose Bcom because it was easier than the science which I studied during +2. And I felt that commerce is my domain. I chose this institute because of my relatives who were studying here and it is a bit easy to get admission in the college.

Faculty

3

Some faculties are really good and have a great domain knowledge as well as experience. However many things happen in the last moment. During exams if you have a backlog then they will help you just beforehand the exams, giving you less time to prepare. Sometimes they are not available for doubt clearing. Otherwise they are really good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of B.Com under Sambalpur University covers important subjects like Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Management and Taxation which are essential for future studies and careers in finance or commerce. The structure is simple to follow and helps students build a good base in theory. Semester exams are conducted on time and the difficulty level is moderate. A student who consistently studies can score well without extreme pressure. However, there is a lack of practical exposure such as industry visits, internships or real-world business case studies. Also, subjects related to modern digital business trends like data analytics, advanced Excel, and GST practicals should be included to make students more job-ready. Overall, the curriculum is relevant but needs more updates to match the current professional requirements

Placement Experience:

In our college, final-year students are eligile for campus placements. While i don't recall the specific companies that visited, one of my friends interviewed with Axis Bank and got selected with a package of around 2.4 lakh. The exact percentage of students are placed and details of average or highest packages are unclear to me, but the placements process provides opportunities of those actively seeking jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue an independent career rather that seeking a traditioinal job placement.
