Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is far interesting as subjects are related to food that we intake daily. Exam structure is based on the University it is deemed. And the fee is quite genuine, while the extra fees regarding xerox materials, celebrations are quite high compared to within affordability.
Placement Experience
We get placements in our 3rd and final year. King's group of companies, Double horse,Parle internships has visited our campus. Around 15 students got selected in kings group of companies and 6 in Parle summer internship. Yes,we have the placement cell that take complete steps to train students for the placement session.
College Events
We recently celebrated Jfinangles2020 which includes technical and non-technical events of all the departments. We also celebrate new year and holi in hostel,pongal and Onam with staff members. Republic day is also celebrated, we have DJs for department function and we enjoy that.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Program fee annually is around 150000. They accept both cash and card,or college bank is active to deposit money, which is helpful for our parents.No additional fee regarding admission.Yes , they do provide transparency. Paying fee within the allotted date will bring no misunderstandings.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have availed an educational loan. First, we have to produce a letter to the HOD saying we need the bonafide Certificate and later sign from the office department.
Campus Life
Campus life is far good. We have 70% Malayalis in our college.So little differentiation in their friendliness towards us.Few controversies happen in the beginning.Sports are excellent here. Students have won loads of medals and are trained good. We also have gym for both girls and boys.
Hostel Facilities
Too bad. Very little facilities. Like the room is fit for 4 people,but there are 4 to 6 in a room. Rooms are less in number.Mess is not so tasty.No cupboards,leakage of taps and its plumbered recently only. You can see squirrels behind hostel and it may enter room at times which i hate.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very friendly in our department. They are really friendly in and out the campus. I just love them.
Admission
I got into JCT via counseling. My aim was to pursue some different courses rather than normal ECE,EEE, CSE. And then my parents chose Food technology and with % of marks obtained in +2,i got JCT.JCT is mere because of my food technology and by community.
Faculty
My department has nearly 12 lecturers with an average age between 22 and 45. They come immediately after MTech and our HOD is 60+ with a chemical background.We have professors who are from R & D ,also with high experience. The teaching part is quite good and not satisfactory.
