Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is in accordance with MAKAUT norms. The difficulty level of the internal examinations varies from teacher to teacher but students can expect to receive some guidelines prior to the exam. But more stress is laid on theory for the first two years which makes it difficult for people from non-programming backgrounds to catch up.
Placement Experience
There are no internship opportunities for students. As for the final placements, students get a chance to participate in almost all the recruitment drives conducted for colleges in Techno India Group.
College Events
No cultural or technical events take place in TIIT. If any student wishes to participate in other colleges' fests such as Techno India University, they can voluntarily form groups and do so but there is absolutely no cooperation from the administration.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees charged for all the courses by this particular college is highly unreasonable considering the lack of proper amenities and infrastructure. The payment has to be made through Demand draft. The fees for the first semester along with the registration fees have to pay at the time of admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not opt for scholarships or education loan so would not comment on that. But in my opinion, no financial aid is provided.
Campus Life
As mentioned above no social events or competitions are conducted in Techno India Institute of Technology. Campus life is restricted to academics only. There are no separate labs for the practical sessions. Laptops are stored in cabinets and students are asked to carry one to their tables at the beginning of each session while the staff sets up the projector and screen.
Alumni/Alumna
First, the alumni network is poor, almost non-existent. Secondly, nothing valuable comes out of the interaction with seniors as most of them are equally clueless as to the freshers.
Admission
The admission process is extremely simple and fuss-free. A student should just match the criteria laid out for enrolling in the course he/she is interested in. For BCA one should have scored above 60% in their 10th and 12th board examinations and have either Mathematics or Computer in their 12th.
Faculty
The faculty is friendly and accessible. Though the lectures are conducted regularly they are below par in terms of quality and delivery. The semester exams are conducted in Bengal Institute of Technology, Bagdoba given the scarcity of space in this campus.
