My MBA Review

I completed my MBA from SCMT. Teachers were quite generous and the seniors were also quite supportive to me. Teachers provided guidance also to students apart from academics. I liked the college a lot, the events and workshops made the college life a lot of fun for me.

The course curriculum is drafted by the Institute themselves as per the industry guidelines and govt. norms. The syllabus contains basic subjects like financial management, business economics, organizational behavior, and many more to strengthen the basics. Apart from the subjects, a research paper called a dissertation is mandatory to be produced by the students on their respective interests during the final semester. The course duration is quite hectic, and examinations are held at the end of each semester.

The college holds a number of events, seminars and celebrations around the year for the enjoyment of students, and provides them with a more positive environment. The college has good labs and well-equipped libraries which is updated timely as per changing time, so students can have proper study material for their whole course duration. Our college organizes freshers party, sports day, house activity, tree planting day, farewell party. Shiksha Aamod is a very popular event at our college.

The fee for my MBA was around 2 lakh per annum, which was a little expensive. The total fee for my whole course duration ranged between INR 80k. The fee is pretty affordable for me, as the college solely focuses particularly on the field of business and specializes in preparing students for this particular sector.

The college has good hostel facilities. Hostels are available for both boys and girls. The hostel rooms are quite comfortable and spacious. The food served in the hostel is also healthy. There are strict rules in the college hostel to provide better security to students.

The admission to college is provided on the basis of the entrance exam. Shortlisted students are invited for the counseling round which includes GDPI round. After the interview, a merit list is generated containing the name of students who are eligible for admission here. Luckily, I got my name in the merit list after I went through the whole process and successfully got admission here for pursuing my MBA. A minimum of 60% aggregate is required to take admission in the college.

The faculty is pretty experienced and qualified. The teachers are quite good at teaching the hardest of the topics with ease to students. We enjoyed a lot in some classes, as teachers taught it to us in a very interesting and interactive way. Most of the teaching was done via case studies and role-play practices.
