My Journey with SCMT

I completed my MBA from SCMT, last year. I learned numerous tools and techniques related to the corporate sector. I also got great exposure, the focus on practical implementation here helped me learn more and more, as education here is more practical oriented. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and the endless learning opportunities literally changed my perspective about life and introduced an analytical approach for life.

The course curriculum is quite good and effective and wholly focuses on helping students with a practical approach rather than just theoretical concepts. Many things and tools for SCMT were taught to us throughout the course. From second year onwards, after the mandatory internship, we opted for a specialization. Our performance in the internal exams, external exams, summer internship report, dissertation, class performance, etc.

SCMT offers very good placement opportunities, internships are also provided to students to provide them with industry exposure before starting to work as professionals in companies. Many big companies like Axis, Nerolac, Amazon, Policy Bazar, etc. visit the campus every year for placements. The packages offered are also pretty good. On average, students stand a chance to secure a package of 3-4 LPA.

The college actively holds events and fests, for grooming managerial skills of students and have them enjoy. Many workshops, seminars are also conducted timely in college to guide and increase curiosity in students. Sports are also well promoted in our college. Apart from that college infrastructure is also quite good with a good library and well-maintained computer labs.

The total fee for the whole course duration of my MBA - Marketing was around Rs. 80,000. I found that to be quite feasible for a Post Graduate program and for the skills and training provided at the college to us. This fee included our tuition fee, examination fee, caution fee, registration fee, etc and there were no hidden charges as such.

The admission procedure in SCMT was quite easy. Admissions are granted on the basis of the entrance exam organized by SCMT themselves. I filled the registration form at the college site with the registration fee and soon I got a call to report to the college with documents. I got my documents verified and went through a small interview after which my admission process was completed and I got myself enrolled for the MBA program.

The faculty is quite good and experienced, they helped us a lot in learning the concepts and their implementation. Most of the students had a problem at first but with proper support from teachers, everyone could work well with different tools and learned some amazing techniques. Teachers also made us work on some live projects and organized industrial visits.
