Remarks
I didn't have a good review about the college when I started my College Life. But during my college days , I found out that my thought was completely wrong and the College is really high esteemed and should always remain as the top notch colleges of Kolkata. The faculties are really helpful through the undergraduate tenure and you will always get them beside you whenever you need them.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am under the yearly exam curriculum, which I think gives very insufficient time for the final year student to learn the subject. At the same time the first and second year span is unnecessarily huge.
Placement Experience
Frankly speaking no colleges of India can offer placement after Bsc Undergraduation under the present scenario. Due to peer pressure of study I haven't got the opportunity to do an Internship but I hope to do so.
College Events
Every possible Cultural events are celebrated in my College. From sports competition to Short film festival, Chef competition to Intercollege tournaments everything is nicely conducted by the Student Union of the College.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. As the College is under the Government undertaking, the fees of study us really afforfable for every person. Per year on my course, I have to provide a sum of only 5k to 6k which varies between this every year which is highly afforfable.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have the DST Inspire scholarship, which is provided by the Central Government. My college helped me secure the scholarship by advising me what to do where to apply. Though college haven't provided me any such scholarship yet there are a few for students who can not afford the expenses of their study.The amount is given by the Student's Union as well as the College Funds.
Campus Life
Sports, labs are well developed in the college premises. Labs for every department is well maintained by highly qualified lab attendents. Indoor games arena is present inside the college where one can play Carrom, Table Tennis etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is very string and distributed throughout the country and abroad. The Alumni network helps the student achieve their goal withou any hesitation and is beside us whenever we need them. Whatsapp groups are there where we can ask for any support or help without any hesitation.
Admission
I got decent marks in my Boards exam and applied through the online portal in the college for Bsc Honours in Geology. I got selected as the first merit list came out. I went to the college with all the required documents for admission and after paying the admission fees and verification of my documents I got admitted on the same day without any unnecessary hustle.
Faculty
My faculties are highly educated and qualified in the field. Our revered HOD sir was a Geologist of the ISRO Mars Mission. At the same time all the other faculties are also eminent Geologists and their affection for the subject makes our learning easier
