MIT is a standout

They are always looking to improve and improvise wherever possible. Currently built a new R&D buildings. A separate shack being built, which will be the Jam Room for the Music and Arts club of the institute.

MIT is an AICTE approved college. All courses are approved by the NBA. Each semester has 4 assignments of 5 marks each, two 15 mark papers and finally the Endsem paper of 50 marks. This recurring pattern of exams anyways keeps the students at par with their studies.

Given this is a day and age of coding. Knowing basics of coding is a must during placements. Even Electrical core companies ask for it. The average placement offer is 5-6lakh. Yes, the college provides internship. Offers are given at the end of 4th semester which is not compulsory and in the 7th semester which is course mandatory.

Several placement talks by alumni and members of offering companies happens every year. Workshops on Coding, Artificial intelligence, Machine learning and other topics that are currently in rise are held. Techtatva is the technical fest which happens in the odd sem and Revels is the sports and cultural fest that takes place in the even sem.

Obviously much costlier than IITs but it is feasible. Hostel and mess facility for a year ranges from 1-1.5 lakhs depending upon the hostel choice. AC and non AC rooms available. Full course cost for 4yrs is around 14-16lakhs

The first 100 students in the rank list of the entrance exam are given a full 100 percentage fee scholarship. And the next 900 students are given partial scholarship depending upon their parents income.

There are huge and separate cricket hockey and football ground within the institute along with basketball and tennis courts. During revels it's totally chaotic here as numerous other colleges participate in every event. Marena is 6 floor sports club which is right opposite the institute. Labs are all well equipped and certain lab equipments are sponsored by well known companies

Hostel facility in Manipal is one of the best in the country. Choices of single room or double (with roommate) is given along with AC or non AC preference. No need to worry of cleaning, cleaners come every alternate day.

Yes, they visit the institute twice a year and give talks and answer and queries. There's a separate Facebook page also which is very active and alumni helps the current students out. College also has an alumni and student relation cell which takes care of such activities.

When I gave the exam there was no negative marking, but now they've changed the pattern to +4 and-1. Preparation for this year is Dave as the JEE prep. After the entrance exam a rank list comes out. The college then starts calling people rank wise for counseling where we choose our branch and pay for hostel and mess.

Faculty in MIT is more or less a family to us. Teaching is commendable and they're open to doubts and clarifications at any point of the day. There's even a program called Student Mentor where a faculty is alloted to 4 students and he interacts and keeps the students in check for the 4 years. Students can talk to their Mentor about anything academic or not and get the issue solved.
