Remarks

There is little time for your social life. There are too many assignments and a number of exams. It is just like giving an exam every month. You don't get a single break to enjoy. The attendance policy is too strict.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is outdated according to world standards. It was revised a few years ago. My major is in Mathematics and Computing. So we have many maths courses and a few computer science courses. There are 3 exams held in a semester with unequal weightage.

Placement Experience

4

There are plenty of job opportunities in this college, I would say one of the best in the whole country. There are a lot of companies for placements, greater than 300. Yes, the college provides internships. I have my next year.

College Events

1

There are many events celebrated in college mainly the annual cultural festival, Rendezvous. It is a 4-day event with many events and participation from many colleges. Other than these national holidays are celebrated with functions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are feasible for most as the college charges them according to the income of the parents of the pupil. It is about 1.3 lakh per semester. So about 2.6 lakh per year. This is quite feasible as it is still subsidized and the real cost according to the college is more than that than it is charged.

Fees and Financial Aid

I know of the student loan which is provided by SBI which is inside the campus. It has a time of 10 years from graduation to pay it back. Many people do take it because even paying 2.6 lakh can be costly to some people.

Campus Life

2

There are a lot of extracurricular activities here. There are a lot of grounds and sports facilities. There are many clubs like dance, music, art, quizzing. The labs are good but the equipment can be really faulty.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are helpful if you ask them for help. There is a large alumni network and is increasing by the year because the no of intake of students is also increasing every year. I wouldn't say it has been any help till now.

Admission

I got admission to my college through IIT JEE. It is a 6-hour examination held in 2 slots of 3 hours. It is held annually in May. And the results are announced in June. Then the counseling procedure starts. You fill in your preferences for your specialization and your college. You are assigned a college and a specialization. There are many rounds of counseling. And you can get a higher preference in later rounds.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty here is good and demanding. Some professors teach really well. Some professors have a lot of knowledge in their field but are not able to deliver it in a much simpler version. The way of teaching is by blackboards or by presentations in class on the topic.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
