College management is not that great, except for the placement department. Doing simple things take a lot of time.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good. But 4 tests in a semester along with quizzes and marks for each lab work along with lab internals and lab externals and final exams make it quite a stressful job. Teachers are not that great. Cant expect a lot from them. There might be only 1/2 genuinely interested teachers in each department. No emphasis on research, more theoretical and tried n tested practices. I have learnt Major things myself than depending on classes, which by the way requires 85% minimum attendance which sometimes is hard to keep up.
Placement Experience
Placement of the college is one of the best things about ut. Companies from Microsoft, Qualcomm, Cisco, Kuliza to even mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys alike.
College Events
Esummit - Entrepreneurship based event. 8 mile - main fest. Doesn't usually happens because of various reasons. Carv theatre - Drama club events by Hindi English and Kannada carv. Small open mikes by Alaap - the musical group. Coding events by the coding club
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college has definitely become much more expensive every year. The fee is divided into 2 parts. 1 goes to college and one goes to the principal alone. Started with 1.75 lac every year now its like 2 lac. Much preference for CET students has a much lower fee. Scholarships also available.
Fees and Financial Aid
Didn't avail any scholarship but the college does provide with the option for that. Even on top of that, there is cast based opportunity as well
Campus Life
Campus life is good, with very good gender ratio. Ive known people from north to south to east to west of India. Lots and lots of diversity and It'll have the best of people whom you'd call as friends and they are the best part of the college journey.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni meets are done quite frequently. Many of the alumni are good friends. The experience they have helps students a lot
Admission
Always had a thing for computer science, wanted to learn more about web and basic programming. Chose this institution because of the popular name it has when it comes to college placement, which is almost 100% for CSE and ISE students if one is sitting for placements
Faculty
Few teachers are genuinely interested in teaching and making us understand topics better in each department. But the majority focuses on theoretical knowledge, old curriculum even. Industry-wise speaking, no teacher has given us relevant information as such. The industry is a lot different from college. College just worked as a stress machine
