In final words, the college is good place to gain not just knowledge, but also intelligence in the subject and thinking out of the box. No doubt it is one of the top colleges in Coimbatore. The syllabus standards are international and will definitely help

I took the Amrita entrance exam after finishing my high school and cleared the exam. I had personal interest in civil engineering and hence I chose the branch. Plus, the civil engineering course was available only at the Coimbatore campus of the college. So I preferred this campus

The course is very good and interesting. The civil engineering department has started recently in the college and hence the department faculties and associates are good too. The curriculum is clear and we do have number of electives to choose from every semester(except the first two ). Our department has only a few students as it has started pretty lately and hence it is convenient for the students to get to the faculties individually. The core subject teachers are very good in teaching and making us infers things in a practical and better way.

Companies usually come for internship during the 3rd year of the course. We will write an exam from which the company filters and selects four students for the internship. This is because there is high chance of getting placed in that company after the intern. Hence they select the minimum number of students. Companies like L&T, Saint goblin come for interns

There is no doubt that there will be 99% of the students getting placed. But it will be mixed up placements like in IT and core companies. One cannot be sure whether he will be selected in a core company. IT companies recruit mass number of students like 1800,1500 and train them for one year and a package of two years will be given. If u don't get placed in a core company, don't worry. There is IT companies like wipro, CTS, TCS, infosys to take care of ur placement.

ANOKHA. That's the name of our college fest. It takes place during the month of February. It gets many sponsorships like eBay.com, Coca Cola eat cetera. It sure is a huge festival where student and people from many states, places and colleges come from. The festival consists of various programs and workshops and play events and cultural programs too. It is one of the biggest college fests in the city. It also includes celebrities performance every year.

Hostels are average. A medium sized room with four people to share it. There are complaints about the first years hostel and mess. The second and laters hostels are better btw. The mess is the same for everyone. The food is not so good. But we don't have a choice do we ? Water resources are very poor. Cleanliness is pretty good to its level. But there sure is scarcity in water. PG hostels are way better. They get to have a single room for one person and it's fairly good.

People who score the first few of the ranks in the Amrita entrance exams get to have scholarships up to 50%. Loans are not available here. But scholarships are very good. It has a condition too. The person availing the scholarship has to maintain a decent score in his cgpa and sgpa in order to continue availing the scholarships

There are diverse features in our college. A good atmosphere, smoke free campus, free from vehicles and only uses cycles and battery cycles to maintain the purity of the natural surroundings. The atmosphere is good due to the location of the campus which is near the hills of ettimadai- border of Coimbatore and palgat. There are international standards of infrastructure and orientations like programs in our college. They encourage group activities and projects and cultural events conducted by the students. Although partying is not allowed here, gender rationality is never a problem here. Students from various places come here to study. Hence there is diversity within the students too. Overall, a standard quality is maintained at the campus.

Senior students help a lot. Majority of the seniors tend to help in many ways. They guide us during the ANOKHA festival and also with academics. Alumni network is in good fraternal relationship with the college. They invite the alumni once in two months to some programs and they usually deliver a speech about the college and after life.
