GGV Bilaspur My experience

This is one of the best institute here. it provides all the facilities. it's the only central university here in Chhattisgarh so I'm all positive about here. although by last few years the standard was going down but still it's the best option you can go with.

The course structure are standardized as the regulation of central government university. the exam and labs occure very frequently. i need to admit that the schedule is quite hectic, especially for 1st two semesters.

Here is a placement cell but job opportunity from campus placement is difficult. a few companies come here to offer jobs. although many students get selected in interviews and get good packages. job from campus placement varies course to course. I know a friend of mine who is graduated from here and got selected in campus placement. he is earning well and has a stable job. but you need to score good in academics fir such placement.

It's a university so there are departments categorised in various schools and each school has there own cultural events. Equilibriuo which is organised by IT department Atulyam by pharmacy department Aksa by school of arts Lex ignitia by school of law Espectro by school of science

It's a government institute so the fee structure is very feasible. fee varies courses to courses. I used to pay 3550 for odd semester and 2800 for even semesters. You can check the fee structure for all courses on the website of the university.

Well the scholarship provided by the state or central government to the students whose parents income are low. and performance on academics also makes you eligible for various scholarships programs. the notification of the scholarship programs are provided time to time.

Well there are almost five thousand students studying here. It's a female dominating ratio here. 55:45 female to male. The fresher parties are also organised, time to time workshops are also provided, in month of January the annual sports event is also organised

I'm a localite so I don't have any experience of hostel. but the infrastructure is good of the hostel and it nearly offer all the facilities a student might require. well there are two buildings for boys hostel and two buildings for girls.

Most of the alumni and seniors are nice and helpful here. it's absolutely a ragging free institute. People are quite interactive and helpful. Most of the people are decent here. My seniors have been very helpful through the years and that was a nice experience to interacting with them.

I gave the entrance exam which is conducted every year in month of may. the forms are available by the month of March. I belong to science stream, biology basically. i had interest on biotechnology so i opted biotechnology honers it is a central university so it offers various courses. you can find most of the courses here. For B. tech course the selection occurs through jee mains so you need to quilify that for all the engineering courses.

The faculty is very good. they are well aknowlegd and reputed teachers here. There are associate professor which are highly educated and they all have done PhD so they are very knowledgeable. Here the ad-hoc teachers also get recruited.
