Life at Nirma

Positive remarks for college is, it has big library with a all kind of material available in hard as well as soft forms. College also funding for the projects. University also funding for the various technical events for the students.

Nirma is know for quality education and the syllabus of the courses are designed with the help of Professor of national and international well known colleges (including IITs & NITs ) and industrialist. Nirma University modified the syllabus based on requirements of the world class educational structure.

The course of the btech corriculum is designed such that students also get the industry experience within the study period. University has subject called Practical Training in 7th sem of btech in which students have to go to the industry or research firm as the interest of student for 1 month and the semester 8 whole studied as major project and student have to work for 16 week in industry of respective field. In major project students can also opt for internship but the very rare chances to get stipend.

There are many students organization and Institute organization which organizes different inter institute events and programs. In addition university has cultural committee, student welfare section who takes responsibility for the sport and cultural programs for students. Here is the some list of events : Cultural : NUZeal Technical : NUTech, NUicon Sports : sport day etc.

Though the fees for all academic program are high with respect most of colleges in located in Gujarat but We can't say that it is expensive because it gives the facilities than any other universities.

University has TFWS (Tution Fee Waver Scheme) which provides one scholar student free seats based on the merit, also university has alumni association scholarship, institute also provide scholarship to top students of institute and also has library working system. University has earn while you learn scheme.

University has too big cricket ground, dome ground, gymnasium, canteens and garden within the campus. The university is always celebrating too many religious festivals and events. University also participate in awareness program for students and society.

There is no hostel facilities for engineering students who pursuing the bachelor degree, although hostel is available for all other courses in university. There are separate girls and boys hostel with good class of rooms. And the lunch, dinner, breakfast to be done at mess are of very good qualities. The university is surrounded by too many PG's and hostels out side the campus and no problems of transportation.

University has alumni network on alma connect for different institute like for institute of technology NITAA: NIRMA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. alumni are very helpful for any guidance in future. There's also alumni interaction and alumni meeting programs.

Admission done based on ACPC ( Admission Committee for Professional Courses) rank. The admission process of engineering colleges in Gujarat is done by ACPC. Aggregate rank of the merit is calculated using HSC marks and JEE exam. There are three ways to took admission in Nirma 1. ACPC 50%, 2. All india metit 35% and NRI, Gulf sponsored 15%.

The basic pay of the every faculty is higher than the any other universities in india. It provides too many resources to faculty for advanced study and research. The faculty of technology ate well experienced and well knowledged. The faculty available at any time for doubts and discussion.
