I took the Calcutta University Law Department exam and my rank was 202. Everyone desirous of taking admission to the law colleges under Calcutta University must take this test and it is on the basis of your ranks that you get the college in the counselling process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is detailed and encompasses the various fields that are necessary and deemed important as the general, basic and detailed knowledge structure of a law graduate. The broad aspects being that every topic covers the idea and every student gets an understanding of how the basic things work. As in the field of law it is up to the student that how much he or she interprets and consumes as the field of law is beyond any limits.
Internships Opportunities
No the college does not provide any internship but a proposal is due for the same and the decision is yet to be taken by the reviewing committee.
Placement Experience
Unfortunately there is no placement cell in the college. Job opportunities are good and placement is assured if one get his academics well.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship given by the university to the minority group of students who are bright and excellent in academics. Other than that there are no means of any other scholarship program or loan facility. Being a govt sponsored college the cost of education here is really very low.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is on the basis of semesters. There are ten semesters. Each semester has a internal exam and an external exam. Internal exam papers of of 20 marks each. The external papers hold 80 marks each. The exam schedule is quite good and one get
