Remarks

They surely need to work more towards a lot of things to bring their students with lot more opportunities that are required for today's competitive world but yes they are already doing a good job. Please work a bit on exposing the students towards the right direction and the right opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is followed basis the AKTU university's rules and structure and the same is with the exam structure, considering the college is affilated by AKTU. There are some changes required obviously considering it's not still very compatible with the furture enterances for post grad and PhD. but that agian is something to be improved by the university until NIET is a self deemed University, which I heard is already under process. Although personally my experience with the professors of my department (Biotechnology) was more than expectated. The professors there make your 4 years worth it!! Not only they guide you around your syllabus but are a great mentor for your life as well. Kudos to the Biotechnology professors and a big thanks to them.

Placement Experience

4

Not all departments have the trend of sending their students for internship, that a students personal affair pretty much so no set stipend. They of course guide you towards your journey from college to corporate. There are very effective workshops and training sessions for the final year students and every type of student is given the type of training that they require. Placements are pretty good in almost all departments. I believe a student too needs to have the required capabilities for a good job, and should mot be only dependent on the college. Also the college can only provide you opportunity how well you grab it, is up to you. In my department, our professors used to also guide us for all the off-campus opportunities as well along with the on-campus ones.

College Events

3.5

We used to have technical and sports fest every year that used to be a 3 days affair. Both of them used to bring, no less than a festive vibe in the campus. Although the students always have a complaint of not having a star night in the campus, which is one experience we NIETians miss out, but still the other two fest brings up a lot of fun, a good amount of learnings and some beautiful trophies, only if you show your interest and participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I passed out in 2017, the fee structure was feasible, and is much better if you get admission via AKTU enterance because thst provides you access to the scholarship. Since it's almost 3 years now I won't be able to quote the figures but yes it's pretty feasible compared to other private institutions.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a quota of about 5% seats coming from AKTU for Fee wavier students who apply during enterance to avail this scholarship. The criteria is the family income should be less than 4lakh per annum. There are some monetary awards for the top 2 students every year for every department. You can have access to only one scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

There are a lot of societies that work actively and organize a lot of events. I have mentioned about workshops and training sessions previously. There are a lot of extra curricular opportunities and the college supports and motivates these activities positively. Any kind of ragging, harassment basis religion, race, sexually Orientation is not at all acceptable and they have a very strict committee available who is available even at the odd hours to help every student. In terms of parties they do organise freshers, farewell and yes the hostel diwali party which is surely a fun to be a part of. They also are open to students enjoying holi and other festival on their own.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes I was in hostel for 3 years and it is good and comfortable. The rooms are nice with proper amenities and a strict warden (lol, a strict one is required even for a naughty generation like ours). The mess food is eatable, I won't say it's great but it's not too bad even. Also you have an opportunity of being a part of mess committee and tey convincing the board to make required changes to the food or quality, whatever is required.

Alumni/Alumna

My seniors were very supportive and helpful, they welcomed us like a family on the very first day itself and we carried that goodness forward in every batch. College although has not a really strong alumni network that they work on to help the students, but yes they do organize alumini meets every year and also invite few well settled alumni during the orientation session of a new batch.

Admission

I wrote the state enterance exam for the APJ Kalam technical university, and basis my rank and my percentage of 10th and 12th , I got admission in the college. My enterance exam rank was around 140 and considering my marks in 10th and 12th were also 87% and 81% resp. I got admission pretty smoothly.

Faculty

5

I already mentioned this that the faculty is very good and supportive. I can obviously talk about the faculty of my department because the feedback will be basis my own experience with them, but yes I have heard all good things for the professors of other departments as well especially when ir comes to their qualifications and the way of teaching. My professors were the best mentors I have ever witnessed till date, luckily I am still in touch with them and have immense respect for them. I was able to be a bronze medalist in the University and obviously the foremost credit goes to my professors because if they wouldn't have taught me well I wouldn't have been able to work towards achieving what I have achieved!

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
