A journey worth sharing

My college is average not so good and not so bad. But it is not so good like private colleges which provide many facilities to students. Thus in this manner, I suggest some work need l needed to done to make it better.

These things are disappointing in my autonomous university. Teaching is not so of a good standard. Teachers is not completing syllabus. We CS students don't get practical classes much because of the facilities' problems. Students depend on self-study and on coaching for practical knowledge. My conclusion is that we only get theoretical knowledge from college. Placements are good and events occur where we get something to learn.

Placements are good at our college. Companies of good packages came last year(maximum package that I heard is of 11 lakh). TCS, Persistent, TCS digital are some companies that I know had come. Above 6 CGPA and no backlogs are demanded by companies. No special steps are taken by college regarding placement in college.

Many events are celebrated in our colleges. We have an e-cell society of our college that organizes many technical events in college. And many cultural and management events are also organized for which many societies are created. Mainly approximately 200-500 students are there in any events organized.

The fees of my college is not so expensive. This is a minimum I think a college like this can have. And the mode of fees payment is very good because payments are done online. But there is one problem that only one bank is there to pay online fees(we need to have Union Bank net banking to pay fees).

My marks were very good in jee mains, therefore I got TFW(tuition fee waiver) from college. But I had to pay some fees when I lived in a hostel. And I asked about that they said it is bus fees but I lived in a hostel and therefore I had to pay that also.

Campus life is good as students get much time because labs not attended by them because of not having practicals and some times classes canceled by teachers. Many political dramas occurring in colleges because of students indulge in these organizations which make campus sometimes not so safe. Many competitions and events occurred in colleges and students participate in good numbers.

The hostel facility is new to my college. When I got admission in this college the hostel we got is the first hostel in these college apart from M.tech students they have a hostel also. The hostel is nice of college they also provided WiFi facility. But there is problem of water, sometimes there is no supply of water for 2-3 days. Food is average quality in mess.

Our college seniors are good and very helpful. Many get together had organized with them like Freshers, farewell. They are always there to help when we asked them.

I don't know more about counseling and engineering colleges. My friends who taken colleges in counseling 1 year earlier suggest me for CS branch and I got these colleges. As a university for engineering colleges in m.p. I opted for this college. And I got admission from college after counseling.

I don't know how many lecturers are there in college but there may be up to 100 are there. Many of them are of age 30-40 and 20-25 are assistant professors of age 20-30. I can't say about there qualifications because some of them are good at there course knowledge but some are very bad and they not able to face students because of students' doubts. And some are not good at teaching whoever they have good knowledge.
