Remarks

The college needs to work on its infrastructure, some professors really need to learn from their colleagues the way to teach. The coding culture should be prevalent in the campus. The students should adapt a lot of skills to make the college more popular.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is pretty simple. NIT Patna Follows semester system and the course is divided into definite number of semesters. The classes are conducted 5 days in a week. Each day is divided into two sessions- One for Lab and the other for Theory classes. The labs may feel tiring for some initial days but the student get accustomed to this.

Placement Experience

4

Being an NIT, the college has good placement record as seen from previous years. The CSE, EE, ME and CE core companion visit here to recruit the undergraduates. Mtech placements are also seen sometimes. Currently, the college is not provide Internships.

College Events

4.5

Main events are organised in the campus. This year, The intramurals cultural event named Eccentrica, intramural sports, Techno Cultural fest-Corona and melange have been held. There are a lot of participations in each of the events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a government college, the fee structure is very feasible. Also, the fee is decided on the basis of annual family Income. For the student having family Income <1lakh, the whole tuition fee is remitted. Whereas for the students having annual family income greater than 1 lakh but less than 5lakhs, 2/3rd of the family income is waived off. The students having family income> 5 lakhs have to pay the total fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government college, the fee structure is very feasible. Also, the fee is decided on the basis of annual family Income. For the student having family Income <1lakh, the whole tuition fee is remitted. Whereas for the students having annual family income greater than 1 lakh but less than 5lakhs, 2/3rd of the family income is waived off. The students having family income> 5 lakhs have to pay the total fee. Apart from that, Merit cum Means scholarship is also given.

Campus Life

3.5

There are a lot of clubs running actively in the college. They are dedicated in improving the skills of an individual. The labs are not in very good condition as of now. There are a lot of cultural societies inside the campus. A lot of workshops are organised inside the campus to nurture the skills of the students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels for the first year students are not in very good condition. Specially the Bagmati hostel. But from 2nd year onwards, the condition is very good. All the UGs, PGs and PhDs get hostel rooms. The accommodation outside the college is not recommended due to unhygienic environment around it.

Alumni/Alumna

Being a very old college, its alumni network is very strong. The chief minister of Bihar is from NIT Patna. Apart from him, there are many successful alumni of the college. The seniors are very cooperative and helpful and they are the reason why the campus is ragging free.

Admission

I Got the admission through JEE main. I was fascinated for physics and this college offered Integrated masters course for that. Due to that, I chose NIT Patna for Pershing my undergraduate education.

Faculty

4

NIT Patna has some really good faculties wheareas some are really poor. Most of the faculties are PhDs from IITs or foreign universities. Most of them are interested in teaching due to their less hectic schedule. The faculties have a lot of research papers published and some of them promote students to opt for research.

Placement Experience:

From the last year students become eligible for the compus placement. Many students get selected in the campus filed like sbi, airtel, Infosys, icici bank etc. The highest package reached around 5 lac and average around 2-3 lac per annum. 80 percent placement rates my plan after getting the honour degree to full the government exam on graduation level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Overall, I would rate the course curriculum as good and fairly comprehensive in terms of both relevance and coverage. It includes most of the important subjects required for building a strong foundation, and it gives a balanced mix of theory and practical learning. One of the main reasons I chose this course was the wide range of core subjects included in the syllabus. The curriculum covers fundamental topics as well as some advanced subjects, which made me feel that it would be useful both for jobs and for higher studies. The inclusion of projects, assignments, and case studies also influenced my decision, as they help in applying concepts in a practical way. In terms of real-world preparation, the curriculum prepares students reasonably well. Many subjects are directly related to industry requirements, and the project work helps in developing problem-solving and analytical skills. However, practical exposure can be improved further by adding more hands-on activities, live projects, and industry-oriented tools. For students who want to go for higher studies, the theoretical base provided by the course is quite helpful. There are a few areas where the curriculum and teaching methods can be improved. Some subjects have outdated topics which should be updated according to current industry trends. More focus can be given to practical training, internships, and skill-based courses. Teaching methods can also become more interactive by using more discussions, presentations, and real-life examples instead of only slide-based lectures. Regarding the exam system, the course follows a semester-based pattern. There are usually: Internal assessments like quizzes and assignments during the semester One end-semester exam at the end of each semester Exams are conducted twice a year, at the end of each semester. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate. If a student studies regularly and understands the concepts, clearing the exams is not very difficult. The questions are most
