My experience at the college

Positive only!! Low and best college Good infrastructure with new buildings being constructed. Only problem is the neighborhood, the locals and their students are worst. The monkey is also a problem, hectic as they steal our foods and many a times they have snatched our mobiles.

My batch is the first batch to go for fully autonomous syllabus. So the transition from Non-Autonomous to autonomous was not that smooth. We had 6 semesters in 3 years and 2 internal examination with 1 practical exam in one semester. As I'm a commerce there was no necessary to get lab facility. As far as I know, the computer lab is well maintained with latest computer desktops. Other labs are some what old and I've not seen any students in other laboratory facilities.

Only few companies come to our college for placement, and they only choose very handful of students would only get placed in their respective course, but mostly BPO companies get students. As far as I know among 2000 students studying in a batch, only less than 100 students would have got placed.

Our college is one of the worst in terms of culturals or events they conduct.Every year college annual day will be conducted and in which only less than 500 students out of 5000 students will participate. Hence in terms of these events our college is the worst.

I paid ?25000 each year as my fee. It is one of the lowest in terms of money. Later as the infrastructure grew, fees was considerably increased from ?25000 to ?50000 per year for my department.And other departments also have increased their fees. In my opinion, the college fee is feasible.

There a list of scholarship or reimbursement can be availed from college which is stated in the memorandum of college. One among that is army personnel scholarship, students whose parents are in army would get a considerable amount reimbursed from their fees. SC/ST scholarships are too available which the students have to avail.

Our college is one of the best for cricket, as many students who have played in the ground have selected for Indian cricket team. Our college has a gender ratio of 4:1 (Men:Women). Only hostel party is conducted once a year in the month of January, only hostel students can participate in it. Other than that no parties are allowed inside the campus. Only tamil students and very few Army personnel whose residence is in Chennai will only admit their students here. As it is a trust of sikh community people, some sikh students also study i.e 1%. Only middle class students would opt for this college.

My seniors were fine. I'm not aware of the alumini network. I only had few seniors who are in touch with me now also. Seniors would treat one among them, no bias. They were not helpful directly in academics, but in other terms they were helpful.

As I'm a CBSE student as well as I've scored above 80% the admission was super easy. I just got the admission within a minute of talking to the HoD.Later I paid ?25000 through Demand Draft, and got admitted in the college.

Most of the faculties are well qualified, but some are not even at the level of knowledge even the student posses. Many faculties would only have done there UG, and us most of the students have done professional courses (CA,CS)
