Remarks

It is the oldest medical college of whole Asia.it is one of the best institute of medical science in East India. It is quite good in infrastructure as well as in administration

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is good.as well as hectic. Exams are quite difficult. Labs are very important to attend. This course is of 5.5 yrs out of which one year is for internship. To reach internship u need to pass 9 semesters and 4 professional exams.

Placement Experience

5

Yes, my college provides internship for one year. The honorarium we get is 27k per month. After that we may go for government jobs or into a private sector too. Getting a job after mbbs from an government college is not an issue.

College Events

3.5

Various events are celebrated in our institution. Like Durga Pooja Saraswati pooja college fest Intercollge quizes National level competition Everyone is allowed to participate in these things. They occur on a quite big basis.

Fee Structure And Facilities

5000/- per semester. there are 9 semesters. Hostel fees is 140/- per annum. Admission fees was 4500/- These fee structure is quite feasible. It's fees structure is so less that it is next to Aiims Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

Those who are economically weaker are provided with a scholarship.

Hostel Facilities

4

140/- per annum is the hostel fee We have 2 sitter rooms Rooms are quite big enough. Everyone gets hostel in very first year of college. Mess fees is around 2500/- per month. No other fees we ought to give

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are super helpful. The seniors stay with juniors in. same hostel n same rooms. They help in studying nd other needs too

Admission

There was an entrance exam which I cracked and got admission in medical college Kolkata. I took a drop for preparing d exam in Allen, kota. Nd got a rank of 890. I was selected in d first counselling.

Faculty

4

Faculties of my college are quite good in teaching. The only disadvantage I see is not everyone teaches in English. So I had some problem learning a new language i.e. Bengali. Rest every thing is quite perfect.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
