Remarks

Our college is in a very accessible location and everything you need is either in the campus ( general store, cafeteria etc) or near it. Everything is positive from the environment to the classes and people.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course Curriculum is both chill and hectic. Some days we have a tight schedule and the others are normal. The course covers Indian English literature mostly consisting of Plays and Poems and Proses. We have subjects covering all the growth and development like Literary theory, Novels, Communicative studies and Foreign Business Language. The exam structure is a medium difficulty level which can be finished in three hours or less. It consists of 12 questions from which we have to attend 8. It's divided into 3 sections. We don't visit labs as such.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college doesn't offer internships and placements in our course. We can apply it by ourselves though. Which can be added in our resume. The teachers help us but all in all we are on our own. It is our personal growth.

College Events

5

The main fest held by our College is Sangathan, the annual sports event and Amiphoria, the cultural fest. Sangathan consists of sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Kabaddi, khokho, Badminton, chess etc. It goes on for about a month. On the last the winners are awarded. Amiphoria is a 3 day fest. Which includes dan es and modelling and group discussions. Students show their talents of singing dancing art and craft. Other than that small events keep happening such as celebration of birthdays of great leaders and festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible. My course consists of six semesters and per semester the fee is 38,000. And with 30% scholarship it is 17,000. The Hostel fees is 65,000 for the year plus 10,000 security and the mess fees for hostel students is 3500 per month.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers scholarships to meritorious students and who have excelled in academics. The percentage of scholarship depends on the result of boards. I availed a 30% scholarship because I scored 95 in English in my board exams. There are many students who have availed 100% scholarship and you have to score 9 CGPA or above to maintain the scholarship. Otherwise it does not apply. The banks give education loans on the basis of your needs.

Campus Life

5

There are a lot of extra curricular activities like Dance, sports, acting clubs. Every activity has a committee and a group which organises and carries it out. Like there are several dance groups, musical groups, drama clubs, nukkad natak, sports such as Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Badminton etc. There are many cultural activities and societies which carry out programs on current topics. There are DJ nights for hostel students. There are workshops and many renowned figures come to enlighten us.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, I reside in hostel and the hostels are fine. AC and Non-AC Both. Provided laundry services. The rooms are on a sharing basis. 2 person in one room. There are set of three rooms and have a common washroom and bathroom. They don't take any extra charges everything is included in 65,000. There are quite a few PG's near the campus which are quite affordable like the The Princess hostel, Shreya Girls PG etc. They charge around 14-15k monthly.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors and Alumnis are very helpful. They guide us and help us in assignment and extra curricular activities. They point out our mistakes and help us in correcting it. They are very supportive.

Admission

I applied for the course of Bachelor of Arts in English Honours. I was called for interview and because I wasn't able to reach there so they conducted it online. I wanted to study English Literature and that is why I chose this course. The head of the department asked questions regarding my interest in literature and my hobbies and my future plans. I was selected after the interview round and also given 30% scholarship as I scored 95 in English in 12th boards.

Faculty

5

The faculty is very qualified and very helping. They teach the course material and give us life lessons too. They groom us and prepare us for our future. They sort out problems and are ever ready to help in every kind.

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith - [MGKVP], Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Education)
Reviewed on Feb 17, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Biggest reason to choose this subject to I like art related work,so I choose this subject. One advantage of doing this subject is that along with art,you can learn a lot from other social and cultural aspect as well. There is a need to make some improvements in this subject such a a course should be of shorter duration and the syllabus should be made a little shorter. Whatever the exam, the subject should be made a short subject with less duration and should not be of long duration.
