My college.

Our college is a very good place for learning and gathering knowledge.It does have it's few drawbacks like the strict uniform code and high attendance but if we keep that aside our college helps us to get ready for the future.

The course curriculum is very subject oriented and we are taught things which we will require for the subject.Although the syllabus could be a bit more updated, but by Indian University standards, it's quite modern. Research is encouraged by the professors of the university and any help required is assisted to. The workload and pressure of academics is immense though, with a constant demand of high marks, high quality projects as well as participation in extra curricular activities.

I am a first year student so i don't know much a about this field from first hand experience, but from what I've heard from my seniors and professors, everyone gets placed here.(if they choose not to pursue higher education) the lowest salary package starts from 4-5 lakhs per annum and the highest ones go upto 12-13 lakhs per annum.From what I've heard and i know, companie like Bosch, Infosys and T.C.S.hire many students. Internship chances are given too with second year students being encouraged to take up these chances.If they keep a score above 80% and a good attendance, in their 3rd year they are even given 6 months off to do internships and other certificate courses.

Fests and other celebrations are a very common in Christ, along with sports and other extra curricular activities they play a major role in a student's life in Christ.We are given immense chances and opportunities to participate in events, sometimes participation even being compulsory and given attendance for.

My course is a bit more expensive than other courses in the college but it's cheaper than Symbiosis International University which offers the same course.The fee structure is pretty feasible and if one cannot afford it, they can even apply for a scholarship. We have to pay our fees yearly.

There are scholarships given to students who have financial constraints and if students perform well even they are awarded with scholarships.But the performance based scholarships are available from the second year. I do not know if loans are available or not but as far as i know, yes, scholarships are available.We were even given a form to fill if we needed a scholarship if we came from a poorer financial background.

There's a plethora of extra curricular activities present in Christ and in one way or the other the student has to get involved in them.The gender ratio is quite balanced in Christ with each class having two Class representatives, one female, one male. Labs are top notch and can't be complained about, but the internet isa bit slow and disconnects quite often. Christ is a very diverse college with many international students and students from all over India.My class itself has 63 students out of which 8-10 are international students coming from Thailand, Japan, Afghanistan and even the United States of America. People of different sexual orientations are present in the campus and the professors have an assigned period every week to educate us on these topics and other societal issues.

The alumni of Christ is very helpful and they conduct many workshops and conferences in which students are welcomed.When the students have their fresher's week during that time the alumni are called and told to interact with the students and clear their doubts.

First you have to have the minimum cut off.Then you have to qualify from your entrance exam to give an interview where you also have to qualify.And before the interview process we have to write an essay. I chose the BCA course as Christ university has the best BCA course in the country.Symbiosis institute was also an option for me but Christ appealed more to me as the syllabus of the course had animation in it ( a field where i want to pursue my career in)

The faculty is well equipped with the proper teaching aids and highly qualified.There's one problem which a few students face is that sometimes the accent of the teacher is not understandable.Apart from that they are well informed and quite helping, especially to the weaker students.
