Remarks

As the College was built in 1961 some part of the infrastructure is very old and outdated but don't worry beacuse the College is investing a lot on the infrastructure at the moment and some buildings are already completed and in some the work is in Progress and may get over in 3 to 4 years. Even though the first year hostels are great and the auditorium and administrative building are very well built and also new hostels are being built. The first year hostel rooms are much bigger than in any other NIT. The placements of this College is very great and it ranks second amongst all NITs in terms of placements. The College participates in many inter NIT competitions and fests and most of the times it is the overall winner at the event. The College is holding the first rank in Inter NIT and IIT sports meet spardha at IIT BHU since last 6 years. The coding culture is great at MNNIT Allahabad. The campus is ragging free and extremely safe for girls because of the women grievance cell active in the College.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements of this College is very great and it ranks second amongst all NITs in terms of placements. It is better than many IITs also. The College also provides internships and every year some students are given PPOs(pre placement offers) Best companies are called upon for the placements and internships. PSUs(public sector Enterprise) also come for placements.

College Events

4.5

The first event is SWAGAT i.e. the freshers fest and afterwards there is Aavishkar techno management fest and departmental freshers and prosang technical fest and Culrav cultural fest and also there are many small events going on throughout the year, And there are 14 different committees in the College for cultural namely garba, western, arts, bengali, bhangra, south folk, Marathi, music, rajasthani, Oration etc. And you can participate in any of them by giving the auditions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for general category and above five lakh income is 98500 which is feasible as there are many scholarships. The fees is reduced to 2/3rd for students with annual parental income less than five lakhs and the fees is reduced to 1/3rd for below one lakh category and SC and ST students. Other than the this the state governments provide scholarships every semester on the basis of category and family income. Also for general students if the CPI is greater than 7 then some rebate in fees is there by the College.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the fees is reduced to 2/3rd for students with annual parental income less than five lakhs and the fees is reduced to 1/3rd for below one lakh category and SC and ST students. Other than the this the state governments provide scholarships every semester on the basis of category and family income. Also for general students if the CPI is greater than 7 then some rebate in fees is there by the College.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio is 4:1 i.e. for boys:girls. There are many workshops and clubs in the College which are active throughout the year. Like the robotics, aerospace etc. And there are 14 different committees in the College for cultural namely garba, western, arts, bengali, bhangra, south folk, Marathi, music, rajasthani, Oration etc. And you can participate in any of them by giving the auditions. The College is not reported with any ragging case since 2009 and the campus is ragging free. The campus is extremely safe for girls because of the women grievance cell active in the College.

Hostel Facilities

4

The first year hostel is very nice and the roolms are much bigger than in any other NIT. But second year onwards rooms are very small but new hostels are bieng built for that purpose and they will get completed by 2022-23. The facilities are also nice. The cost in first year is 12000 per semester and mess fee is 15000 per semester. We get one room for three people in first year big enough, a small room for two in second year and third year and a single room in final year.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful polite and gentle. The College is not reported with any ragging case since 2009 and the campus is ragging free. The seniors will help you in every terms may it be studies or hostel problems or any other issue. The alumni are also very helpful in case of you need any investment for a start-up or research Even the professors help students for reasearch and startups.

Admission

I appeared for IIT JEE exam and through it got admission in this College as I got an AIR-15671 in JEE mains. The admission process is carried out by JOSAA which provides seats in different NITs and IITs based on number of seats and the AIR.The ranking of MNNIT Allahabad is great amongst all NITs and it ranks second amongst all NITs in terms of placements. Even the placements are better than many IITs in MNNIT Allahabad, this made me chose this College over other branches in other Colleges.

Faculty

4

The faculty is good but the HODs and experienced professors teach extremely well. The teachers are mainly phds and are very much educated kind of best in the field but teaching is an art so with qualifications you cannot judge how well they teach. But those who teach well are really best in the field. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
